Devastating lyrics set to a happy little tune. Weeping openly in the car the other day thinking about how it’s gone wrong with my wife of 20 years. The love of my life. Our granddaughter sitting in the backseat wondering why grandpa is crying…

@@jennyaldrich7456 I’m not a relationship counselor, but if that’s truly what you want and he doesn’t, maybe you both need to have an honest talk about if it’s worth it.. It was the opposite with my ex. She hated kids and wanted to live the high life which I couldn’t (and honestly didn’t want) to provide. I want a family and a regular life. We went our separate ways. It hurt because we were good together and best friends. But the differences were simply too much to deal with for a lifetime. Love and peace to you. Hope you find happiness

This is probably my favorite Clapton song. It is perfect. If one note is changed, it lessens the song. Perfect guitar work. Fantastic words. Eric's voice. And, yes, Marcy Levy's back up is also... Perfect. If I could only have one song to listen to for the rest of my life, this is on the short list.

I'm 54 years old lifes funny I've only been to a few concerts as in like 3 maybe my first concert was Eric Clapton Richfield coliseum that's a long saga and itself the experience of being there the drugs the alcohol and the long ride home anyhow I'm standing there enjoying the concert I had some little pills with Vs on them when suddenly I notice that Phil Collins is playing on the drums considering I only had a few CDs in my collection Eric Clapton and Phil Collins was the ones that own other than of course bon Jovi for those of you that don't know Phil Collins play drums for Eric Clapton on some performances I guess it was amazing

Michael Box It’s unfortunate that Phil isn’t doing too well these days. I don’t even think that he can play those drums any more.

Nice, one of my favorites from EC. It has a nice rolling shuffle, great lyrics and backing vocals and a little slide guitar thrown in, pretty much perfection
