I own a mustang 2016 v6. It's fast, sporty, and better on gas. The cons are high insurance and not as much room. Can't haul as much stuff as I did with my pickup truck.

That brings up a great point with insurance. Depending on your age and insurance plan insurance for a mustang can be outrageous!

There are not any cons , it’s one of the best mustang s around, I’m getting a 2005 mustang convertible V8 soon it has 20 inch wheels and upgraded exhaust and breaks and suspension, and knew springs , the car is lowered by an 1 inch , and has leather interior and traction control

Some of the things on the “con” list are more so just things I think people need to consider before purchasing (like gas mileage and space) I don’t think that they impact the car in a bad way tho

the biggest con that i can definitely agree is the gas.i can literally drop $33 in my tank and 4-5 days later i have to drop another $33 in it.I’ve looked at some video to help save gas but it doesn’t help much.but i don’t regret buying my mustang at all.

I live in Arizona, I'm on my second Mustang Convertible, 96 GT & 07 GT/CS. I can drive almost 365 days (doesn't rain very much here). Some people are just not cut out to own a convertible, You are either converted or your not. Yes, it could be a daily driver, mine is not. I have always loved convertibles and always will, only a true convert would understand. First of all, I know Black is a very popular choice, it's just not practical. I don't care where you live, black is not a really good choice, sure it looks good until you touch it, or try to sit on it. You don't own a convertible for speed, or the fabric top for the way it looks, You have it to drive wide open to the world. The best position is retracted back behind the rear seat. True believers understand, others just get to watch as we go by with a smile on our face.

Go back to a stock tune and run regular gas, or non-ethanol if it’s available. My same car can average 23-24 on my commute (mostly highway). That’s with a V8, auto, convertible, setting the cruise at 70 and keeping my foot out of it as much as possible. Not that hard to do.

I just bought a 2006 v6 mustang for my first car. Everything is in good condition, it is missing a couple little details but I got it for 5k. I get a couple of complements and overall its been pretty reliable. I have been taking it to school everyday and put about $60 of gas each week. Insurance isn’t too bad but it isn’t the best so I would imagine the v8 being more expensive.

drove my fastback 06 GT as a daily driver from Feb 2006 to Nov 2020 when the auto trans died. First winter.. I almost slid into a tree with 1/4" snow on the ground with stock P Zero Neros. Next year bought cheap rims and snow tires for all four wheels and no issues unless steep grades. Pros: got to drive my GT everyday...almost, unless heavy snow or ice. Cons; Trans died....traded in for Explorer.

You can definitely daily a mustang in a cold climate, you just have to know what you're getting yourself into and if the cons are worth it to you. I drove a 2001 GT as my only car for over 15 years in Canada. Meaning deep slush, deep snow, ice, everything wet when it melts. Yes, you will get stuck a lot in your drive way over-night, and if you stop pulling out or into it. However, you can get around that quickly by just pouring water/boiled water where you're stuck and getting out in the morning. Just bought a 1999 GT, and going to be my only car again. And of course you gotta have a brain when driving, turning, etc. I did a 180 on a bridge once in the 01, took the turn too fast in winter. But you have to be varying levels of cautious in whatever you drive in winter. Just gotta learn the specific car in that regard.
