Love hearing those wood floors making creaking and cracking sounds.

Looks like you have a lot more room on the boat than your RV, plus you don't have to worry about weight. Looks like a bread maker would be a nice addition between re-supply trips.

Looks like a wonderful spot! I am an RV guy, but I’ve been finding myself more and more interested in house boats… I bought a small jet boat when I was a teenager and it cost me a fortune… my friends enjoyed it, I worked and paid it… that didn’t last long lol… but have you see in too deep? He just got a 70 footer!!

Nice video. I found there wasn't much difference between Boondocking in an RV & time on a boat. Little different types of tools & extra parts, but food was about the same. Fresh fish was a great way to supplement the protein items.

Beautiful spot, nice and calm seas. Maybe time for a small water maker?

That would be nice. :) Though, usually the desire for fresh food drives us to a place that has water anyway before we are out of it.

An old trick is to take off those labels off the cans in storage. Write with black marker on the top what is in the can. Then if your cans get wet and the label falls off you know what's in the can and if your remove them they won't plug bilge pump.

Thanks for the tip but if the cans get wet we have big problems! The cans are located 4 feet above the bilge
@justsomeguy6474

@@LoveYourRV Oh, a lot of sailors store their cans in the bilge(keeps the weight low).

We have a heavy 6 cylinder Ford Lehman diesel engine, plus tranny, 4 golf cart batteries, 25 gallon holding tank, 2 60 gallon water tanks and 2 -125 gallon fuel tank down low. :)

Gotta ask: Is that a hole in the bulkhead to the right of your freezer under the floor? You can see what I mean at 6:05.
@LoveYourRV
Ай бұрын
No, I think what you're seeing is foil reflecting light. Between the engine bay and the fuel tanks is a layer of foam board covered with reflective foil.

Do you have a compacter for trash?
@LoveYourRV
Ай бұрын
No, I crush the cans, flatted any cardboard and compact the trash physically in the trash can so it doesn't take a whole lot of space. Haven't had much of a problem as far as trash storage, so don't think I'll need to get a trash compactor.
