Congratulations Playstation Beyond for 600 episodes. I got into this show with Greg and Collin and when they left, I didn't know what to expect with it going forward. I was happy when Max was the host since I remember him from Rev3 games. Not sure what went wrong but he wasn't a good host. I stopped for a while and on a whim decided to see how the show was progressing and with a new host Johnathan did a great job turning it around. Max is still great and I miss when he's not on. I've been listening ever since and love Lucy being on and Brian is awesome as always. Can't wait for more.

The few games I bought physically were big AAA releases and not even a manual came with it.. And when using physical games now you still have to wait for patches to be downloaded anyway, so I got used to buying digitally.

4K blu ray movies are a waste of money as most of them are actually only 2K (1440p) and then upscaled to 4K. And the reason for this is that very few films are filmed or use CGI in 4K.

So weird that the PS4 didnt really have anything first party that was good for the first 18 months. If MS hadn't dropped the ball with kinect and the price this gen would have been a lot closer. It turns out that PS4 was the place the go for great first party games but that wasnt apparent when this gen launched.
@NickBLeaveIt

Bloodborne (which Japan Studio co-developed, even if it wasn't explicitly a "first party" game) released in March 2015, which counting November 2013 as the first month, was the 17th month of the PS4 being out. Also, while inFamous: Second Son was a disappointment compared to the first two, First Light is a great game, albeit without a karmic system I feel wrong calling it an inFamous game.

@@NickBLeaveIt I wasnt being specific with 18 months I was trying to make a point. You get what I meant. Who could have predicted that PS4 would be such a powerhouse after a disappointing launch line up and first 17 months of nothing great from first party?
@NickBLeaveIt
5 жыл бұрын
@@squiddly007 It was $100 cheaper, people found the interface easier to use, many multiplats had higher resolution, and the smaller size made it easier to be the default platform for many former 360 gamers who had to travel with one. Even without killer exclusives, people wanted to reward Sony's focus on games, sharing used games, etc, while Microsoft doing a 180 on their DRM didn't make up for "TV, TV, sports, sports" outweighing Sony's focus on games, and it's also worth noting that for lots of people TLOU Remastered might as well have been a new exclusive even though it wasn't.

@@NickBLeaveIt I wasnt comparing consoles. I dont need anyone to tell me why it sold better than X1 at launch. My point was who would have thought that it would sell 100 million units when looking back at the first year or so.
