I can’t fault anyone that says they like Daytona more. But for me this album is most likely going to age better. More content, not a single skip for me, more well rounded than Daytona, and the production is taken to another level.

This is considerably better than Daytona for me. I loved how great Daytona sounded as a whole as a concise product, But I didn’t care much for 2 out 7 songs, this got 12 songs but I loved all except two. Proportionally this got a higher enjoyment factor

I personally don't like the track because the beat just doesn't sound very...pleasant to the ear? Idk how to describe it but the energy just sounds off to me. It also doesn't switch up once during the entire runtime, so I feel it drags on a bit. I see why some people might like it, though.

I can't believe he called Call Your Bluff trash thats one of the best ones on the album. The menacing ass beat, the laid back delivery, and flow. I think this is Pusha’s best album. Easiest to pick up and listen, doesn’t sacrifice substance, still has his dark grunge aesthetic, whilst also is just super fun and entertaining! It feels longer than it does (in a good way) and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. The songs his totally different even after the first listen ❤ Which is always the sign of a special project

I love the album. Disagree about Call my Bluff and I liked the almost backwards organ sound, I think it worked great with Labrinth’s vocals. (I love Labrinth.) Dude produced the track and I think he knows what he’s doing. A more bombastic organ would have taken away from the vocals, not complimented them.

The way Kanye sounds on Rock n roll kinda shows the pain and lines up to what he is talking about. You don't have to like it but it doesn't ruin the song, heck on "dreamin of the past" track his hook felt better than Cudi's hook on this track.

my only issue with reviews is so many people look at each song singularly, track by track. But not giving a chance to see if it fits within the narrative or the sequencing.

I think it’s the way he records his vocals sometimes that make him sound tinny/muffled (i.e. how a lot of the vocals on JIK or recently on “Jail” sound like dogshit). You can’t mix a bad recording to sound good.

Essentially he’s not even a “reviewer” he’s more of a critic saying things like “this sound shouldn’t be in a track on this” or “these two artist shouldn’t be in a song with pusha t”. It’s almost as he’s trying to point out the bad in music just like a “movie critic” would do.

Though it wasn’t the best he made up for it by the end of the song when he found his style imo and Scrape It Off the Top I believe fit the album with a very fitting instrumental and Lil Uzi comin onto the track like he’s Ye. The flow he had and the hunger he had overall. I honestly think that they people say they don’t fit because of their names and not what they brought to the track 🤷🏿♂️

Let the Smokers Shine & Call My Bluff are two of the standout tracks for me, actually. Call My Bluff instrumental is so great, reminds me of some of the best SpaceGhostPurrp production. Overall it's a 9/10 album after first 2 listens.
