This tutorial, although short, is super informative and really covers everything one needs to do, it's really effective for semi-advanced Blender users to easily undertstand and follow. Love your stuff!

This is fantastic! Adding the gobos was a really nice touch. And I really like the final sound design, great job. I have no idea how you aligned the footage in fSpy without any right angles, but I guess it's just an approximation and evidently it worked really well. Anyway, really solid tutorial, thank you!

Serious question: I see so many people using FSPY on there own footage. Why don't you note your focal lenght and stuff after each take. Is FSPY that fast and bulletproof? Nice channel by the way!
@driftingwalnut
4 ай бұрын
Honestly I always just forget to note down my focal length, but I still like to use fspy to get the angle of the camera because it makes it really easy to align 3D objects

Saber. Have you moved to AE or did you use the pre-Artlist Hitfilm Pro which supports that plug in?
@driftingwalnut

Pre-Artlist. I didn't know the new versions don't support it, that sucks
@HitfilmUniversity
4 ай бұрын
@@driftingwalnut Well, thing about AE support is fewer than 1% of Hitfilm Users use Pro, and fewer than 25% of Pro users were using AE plug ins, so it just became a feature which was too expensive to maintain and develop. I don't like it, but that's the truth. On the Artlist merger - again, I don't like what Artlist did, but, without Artlist, FXhome would have just folded. If you were to look up FXhome's public financial records for the year before the merger... Let's say company profit was so low that hiring another employee would have tipped them into loss. With (Pre-Artlist) Hitfilm, over 90% of users were on Free without buying add-ons. Like FXhome had a blog announcement that, after the first 18 months of charity donations from add-ons they'd raised a bit over $100,000 for charity. But that's donating 10%... So that's a roughly a million in sales. Now divide that by expenses for the offices - rent, lights, internet, gear - and about 30 employees and you see FXhome just wasn't making any money despite having 7 million users. So, suddenly the Artlist merger makes more sense. Although it's not the fault of FXhome Staff Artlist made a bunch of really bad decisions. Even a lot of those decisions make business sense. It sucks the KZitem channel was abandoned, but... A tutorial would get 5-10 thousand views. Let's average that to 7k for a quick estimate. 7 thousand views from 7 million users means only 1/1000 of the users watched tutorials, and three full time employees (plus marketing staff and executive support) becomes a lot of outlay for little return. FXhome got hosed by too many users who didn't financially support the company. Even the Pro users - a lot of them didn't upgrade every year (I mean you're on a three year old version), so Pro wasn't making money either. Suddenly the choice to go subscription makes (business) sense - even though I'd prefer perpetual licenses. My perspective comes from being an FXhome Ambassador and freelance contractor. Although for this comment I've pulled on my from public records and things FXhome Staff said on the old forum. A shame, too, cuz Hitfilm filled a special place in VFX software, and no one else is going to jump into that space. For layer-based VFX tools it's gonna be AE or software which is all based around pre-built templates/presets with limited editing, and/or AI generation like Filmora.
