Today's video covers 2 very prominent modules used with the Qolsys Iq panels, and those are the PG9WLSHW8 and PG9HRDW8 Hardwired to Wireless translators. These modules are great for taking over existing wiring for a hardwired system while using the all-wireless IQ Panels. Or if you just prefer a hardwired connection for your sensors, by utilizing this module you can do so while using only a single wireless connection and gaining the benefits of the IQ Panel usability. They feature PowerG wireless technology giving you incredible range, high-level encryption, and frequency hopping features that make it the most reliable wireless connection to date for alarm systems. This module allows you to connect up to 4 wired keypads, a max of 40 zones, and if needed a power supply. These modules are the DSC NEO HS2LCD keypads, HSM2108 Zone expanders, and the HSM2300 Power Supply respectively. If that isn't enough, you can connect 2 of these modules to an IQ panel.
This video focuses on the differences between the 2 models mentioned, the PG9WLSHW8 and the PG9HRDW8. While there is no difference in what technical features they offer, the PG9HRDW8 comes with a larger cabinet giving you more space so you can fit all 4 Zone expanders in the same cabinet. The PG9WLSHW8 uses a smaller cabinet allowing space for only 2 Zone expanders. Both modules do offer space for a 7amp backup battery as well which will keep the translators operable even if your AC power has gone out. Check them both out at www.alarmsyste...
