Quick Homemade Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients:
1 bag (12 oz) fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
Directions:
1. In medium saucepan add water and sugar
2. Bring to a boil, stir frequently, until the sugar is absorbed
3. Rinse cranberries in colander and remove any ugly/rotten ones
4. Add cranberries to boiling water & sugar combination
5. Bring to a medium boil and stir
6. You will hear the cranberries pop as they cook, stir frequently
7. The mixture will thicken as it boils
8. When the cranberries are all soft, remove from heat
9. The mixture will thicken again as it cools; when at room temp put in refrigerator until needed
10. Serve warm or cold; will keep in refrigerator for 6-7 days
11. Great with turkey or as a topping on ice cream!
