Hey, how often should this be performed and would it okay to be done daily as an addition to basketball training?
@antoniostojkovski1464
3 жыл бұрын
Do it 3-5 days a week, mostly as a warmup. Add in rope jumps too. I'd recommend 2 plyo workouts a week if you're actively playing basketball and working out in the gym too. You can tailor the sets and reps however you think is best, but generally 3-5 sets of 8-12 reps is the norm. Do box jumps, depth jumps, single leg lateral jumps(6 each leg on these), tuck jumps, squat jumps - the most important ones in my opinion. Combine others into it too if you like, at least 4 per workout. You should work on technique(The approach, the actual jump, and the landing) and you can do creative mode too, jumping over hurdles, tables, whatever, enjoy your workout. I was curious as to why I could dunk at 6ft (I'm 6'2 now) when most of my friends couldnt, I realized it's cause I've always been jumping(Over tables, chairs, bars, literally anything, touching the backboard, rim, it was always just fun for me) and so that primed my legs for jumping.
