Extremely high quality material. Can those stick decals cast shadows ?
@Flewda
5 жыл бұрын
Good question! Decals have height information just like every other megascans surface, so if the details are large enough, they will cast shadows. In the case of the sticks, they are quite small so the height displacement is fairly subtle and the shadow isn't very prevalent.

Thanks for making this video. I have a huge request. I know earlier it was mentioned that full tutorials would be showing up around summer time. Do you know if those tutorials will be for advanced users? I'm new to any kind of engine work(besides modding), and would love to see some videos like "make a lush forest from start to finish" tutorials so that anyone could watch it and learn how to make beautiful scenes in UE4. Thanks again for the vids.

While Mixer is free, the free materials are part of the larger Megascans subscription, so if you want all the free assets you can have the opportunity to download them during the 30 day trial.

cant figure out where to ask this so any help is appreciated. But I don't have the height intensity option only height frequency. Now it's may 2020 and I know many updates have likely changed or moved certain things. But my plane does not create the same height effect and instead it still looks like a flat plane. I don't know how to change it to allow for the height to be displayed properly. Or at least whatever illusion is being created. Like i said any help appreciated just trying to grasp the platform. Really powerful stuff you can do with this for sure I love it once i figure it out ahha

I've been playing a game called Rising World that was originally developed in Unity. All the textures inside the game are still using Unity Code instead of Java and I'm wondering if I could use Unity to make these textures more HD? Just kind of overhaul them as a plugin for the game as it still uses scripts, plugins but no mods. Would love to create my own game Open world, survival, craftin, post-apocalyptic but no blocks. I'm grow weary of blocks and prefabs just suck. I would want to give players full freedom to do whatever they want as they crawl out from the bowels of the earth or come down from space to rebuild civilization in either single player or multiplayer. Most devs just just don't understand that cubes are yesterday's news we need something new.

To add to my reply of bollocks. The sole reason Quixel are now creating their very own Photoshop for textures, is to get away from having to rely on the Photoshop software, as they do with the Quixel Suite. With Quixel Mixer and Megascans they are masters of their own destiny.

Hi! The 30 days trial is for Megascans, not Mixer :) you can use Mixer right now and go past 30 days without any issues.
