My first year as a teacher I had one kid who was lactose intolerant and the mom loved to tell everyone about it. So whenever I brought food for the class I’d always be careful about his dietary needs. Once I brought milk and cookies and I got him special lactose-free milk, and when I offered to give the rest of the lactose-free milk to his mom since no one else needed it she lost her shit and said I was mean for getting him his own milk and I shouldn’t treat him differently than the other kids. 🤦🏼♀️ Some people just want attention.

The one who said that she had a bomb in her bag.....she's lucky if she didn't end up in prison. When I was working for a regional airline, I was working ticket counter/gate. I had one guy who came in to check in for his flight. He checked on bag and I asked if he had any carry-ons (standard because we had to include them when estimating weight). He said, "Just my gun." I took his boarding pass, went to the back and called the cops. He missed his flight because he was taken out in handcuffs (even though he didn't actually have a gun). It's a Federal offense to even joke about it.

Same thing as with everything: All things in moderation - Apparently doctors have even advised that you "can" drink alcohol in tiny amounts while pregnant. I put "can" in air quotes there because, while it's safest to not drink any alcohol at all during pregnancy, doctors apparently say that drinking no more than 1-2 units of alcohol once or twice a week - and never enough to feel drunk - _should_ pose minimal risk to the baby, if you just have to have a drink.

@@armjjb5189 Sadly though if it's a padlock on the gate of a public park then there is a chance you would get in trouble for cutting the lock and "destroying another person's property" which is ridiculous. Plus then you'd have a potential "weapon" and bolt cutters are illegal in some places like Cali and Georgia in the U.S. and in some places in other countries. Letting the authorities handle it is the best choice here since there is no immediate danger or actions that could lead to direct harm to someone. (Someone getting stuck inside the park after they jumped the fence isn't directly harming them) Does sound like the dad needs a good ass whooping though. When I was in middle school, there was a claim that there were bombs in multiple student's backpacks at every school in my area. Including day cares, elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools. Everyone was evacuated immediately, but my school didn't have a set location to evacuate the students to. Everyone had to stand out in the rain in the bus pick up area just outside of the school. Keep in mind that most of us don't have jackets because we were required to leave everything were it was and evacuate immediately, cause you know we could die, so people only had jackets if they were currently wearing them when the threat was made. About half an hour later, we started moving to a near-by library that was deemed safe and parents could pick us up from. I personally had to wait at the library for about 6 hours, the threat was called in the morning, for my bus to pick me up from the library. My mom is stay at home, but didn't have a car, and my dad works out of town. School was canceled the next day, this happened on, like, a Wednesday, and my mom kept me from school the day after that. The police searched every locker and backpack in all of the schools, but no bombs were to be found. It was found that the threat was made by a 40 year old woman in a McDonalds. She had no relation with the schools at all and claimed to have made the threat for fun and to "test the school's preparedness and ability to protect our children." I don't know what kind of punishment she received, but I'm assuming jail time. Last semester there were rumors of someone shooting up the high school I go to. All students were told to keep attending class, not make a big deal about it, and not to tell out parents to keep us out of school. The threat was written on the bathroom wall of another school in the area, but I feel like my school should have taken more procautions. TL:DR A 40 y/o woman threatens to bomb all schools in my city from a McDonalds.

The police took care of it and the post was taken down, but my school didn’t inform parents that a threat had been made (which they are legally required to do). So all day people at my school were freaking out and calling their parents to pick them up. The school didn’t address the fact that a threat had been made until the day was almost over and they had the nerve to basically call us all cowards for being afraid for our lives!

Its dumb, but I kind of want to provoke them to do something more, just so they would be actually punished... Just scolding from police (which i assume is all they got) isn't enough punishment for that amount of entitlement. They clearly didn't learn anything. It might sound silly, since its only a park and no one got hurt... but people with this kind of entitlement will use and abuse others as much they can, in all sorts of situation. It would be nice if someone would kick them in their place *before* they will actually hurt someone (because at one point it will be something much more serious than stupid park). For same reason it always annoys me when people in those stories won't press charges, which sends clear signal to Entitled Assholes that they can do whatever they want.

The older lady then proceeded to claim pregnant women can’t drink coffee, and if she couldn’t save her daughter she’d save a pregnant stranger. The old lady threw the coffee into the trash, causing the pregnant lady to get upset and very emotional. The worker goes to make a new coffee free of charge for the pregnant lady, and she yells at the the old lady that she wanted to drink her coffee in peace and that it was the one cup she gets a day, the old lady then begrudgingly backs off and she gets her coffee.

Should also point out the coffee during pregnancy issues is less about the coffee and more about the caffeine. The general guidelines is up to 300mg of caffeine per day which is a little more than 2 (8oz) cups of caffeinated coffee. But soft drinks and certain types of tea also have caffeine though most have way less than coffee. So a pregnant person could drink 5 cups of coffee a day posing no risks to the baby because only 2 of those cups were caffeinated and the others were decaf and more for taste or something.

OP: I'm lactose intolerant Dad: No you're not, you just want attention Mom: Actually, they are lactose intolerant Dad: Hey everyone, my child is lactose intolerant! OP: Wtf, Dad? They should've told their child and avoided giving them anything with lactose in it.

The fact that the parents in the last story said that they lock the gate so “bratty children” can’t play with their kids absolutely floors me. Like you aren’t worried about crazy people? Pedophiles? Stalkers? Kidnappers? Like WHAT

Dad: look at my son! He’s lactose intolerant and should drink some lactose milk! Show them that you’re lactose intolerant! *son proceeds to have explosive diarrhea*

A bit late but the lactose intolerance thing happened to my older sister. She's only mildly intolerant but she's always had upset stomachs when having milk and just dairy in general, but my mom kept forcing her to have milk when we were kids cause "kids need calcium dee durr". It wasn't until her mid 20s she realized and experimented with dairy-free/lactose-free foods and who would've thought-- no more issues! My mom didn't believe it at first until we had to explain it to her for an entire year.

I feel for OP with having to deal with her parents, especially her Dad, I can only imagine what other crap he has put her through as my Dad sounds like his twin and since becoming an adult I try to avoid crossing paths with him so I don’t snap.
