Detailing tip: use a mr.clean magic eraser with some warm water and *gently* rub the steering wheel down. It will remove all of the shine (grease) from the leather and make it look matte again. You can use it on the seats/armrests as well. I do it to any vehicle I restore/detail and it makes the interior look brand new.

wouldn’t recommend it tho. magic erasers are like sandpaper on leather. I’d say use an auto fiber scrub ninja and some diluted apc.
@kc550
2 жыл бұрын
@@kaelillo it's certainly not as abrasive as sandpaper, but yes the sponge is comprised of very fine glass particles/dust - no pressure is needed, just graze the surfaces and it will pull that shine out of leather and even plastics. Just be careful around any plastics with sublimated/printed graphics like hvac or stalk controls. Your method works as well, just requires much more work.

That grounding strap should be tight to your wrist and the pad should be connected to the shop ground for optimal effect. ESD damage to boards is a real issue. I have experience in static controlled electronic assembly environments. Static discharge damage to electronics is particularly insidious as it is often difficult to detect at assembly and test. It is discovered by customers through premature failure.

The only catch can at risk of overflowing is the one on the passenger side unless you have a severe blowby issue. The driver side can only sees flow off boost and the crankcase vacuum helps improve ring seal and thus reduce blowby. The passenger side is the side that sees fresh air off boost but crankcase gases under boost.
