There is so much to talk about about this video. 1. Rachelle wowed me with her vocal range and precision. 2. I love the yodelling and other noises that I wouldn't expect to be included in a performance. It seems weird, but it's fun and makes her seem relatable. It makes this song a guilty pleasure. 3. The 'riff' she does at 6:10 - 6:17 is sexy. 4. I think this is the sexiest outfit I've seen her in. 5. When they played for that audience, they had no conception of the internet and KZitem and the 500k additional views this video would receive. That's all for now.

Saw her twice in concert. The first time at Bluenote in NYC. She finished her set and walked off stage and I immediately stood up inches away from her. Stuck out my hand to shake hers. She took my hand and shook it but when I tried to take my hand away, she grabbed it tighter and would not let go!!! I died.

Mary Wilson I hear this kind of statement so often when we see someone we really like and I wonder why. I think she has a good life, able to exercise in her craft and not have to work a 9-5. She’s known by many and anyone who has heard her knows she is an exceptional talent. People were lined up around the block when she performed at The Blue Note. One thing to consider is she has never been a main stream artist making hit pop songs or R&B, hip hop nor Rock. She covers the full spectrum of music genres. You must Consider the machine that is behind those massively popular artists. It’s not just because they are good, and thinking about it, many of them are not that great. Also, those huge commercial artist, we are learning, are paying a heavy price for that fame. Probably many consider her to be essentially a jazz artist, and jazz artist are not out front when it comes to mass popularity. Notice though in this video alone she is on stage with some very heavy giants of jazz music. She’s always gonna work as long as she is able to perform. So I wonder what more does she need to NOT be underrated?
@winstonwolfe5733
5 жыл бұрын
Arr Jee I feel your words, but be sure of one thing. rachel is not underrated, she is not a popular million record sellers. Like Dianne Reeves or Esperanta Spalding. She is a legendary jazz vocalist, belongs to the same league as Ella, but if jazz pays, it's not millions. And above all, she drives her career the way she wants. Shés neither a puppet, nor a circus animal.
