I have a 2018 RadMini and very happy with it. I had hopes to put the 2019 models freewheel on my 2018 but no go. Tech at Rad Power Bikes told me they are not compatible. The bike is 6mo old now and no mechanical or motor problems. Climbs hills like a champ. Currently EBR is presenting video’s on the Bafang motor and it’s production in China. Really nice to see that thanks guys!

I believe the button shifts up⬆️ then pushing the lever shifts it back down⬇️. At least it does on my Rad Rover and Rad Mini (non step through). Great review, thank you for the info. I'm thinking about buying this model next. In my younger years I would like to take this model (the step through Mini) and hit up the BMX park. Only thing is the two piece frame and needs regular BMX handlebars too.

Rad power bikes make a good bike but I noticed their accessories are quite pricey so I hope they are not charging extra for the fenders. I live in the Pacific Northwest and a bike without fenders is basically useless in the rainy season.

Can you do a video on the RadMini Step Thru 2 electric bike? Note: One major change from version 1 to version 2, is they removed the on/off switch for the throttle. I would like to see a video for the RadMini Step Thru 2. Thank you!

Is the step through a women's version of this bike? I do like the easiness of in and out from the bike, but the black for the regular step through looks more masculine, I'm conflicted.

When riding this bike in the rain, isn't water likely to enter the downtube and collect at the bottom?

@@itsjoannotjoann5070 I'm in Minnesota. How does this bike handle snow and slush? How is battery life in cold weather? I could probably get this from tech specs, but I would like some advice from users. Thank you, Joan.

Fat tyre mini off-road e-bikes seem to make more sense than any other e-bike, this model and other like it is the way to go, I was wondering can you fit a rear rack with battery and patch in to the other battery (through controller maybe) and double the range of the bike, two 48v batteries and this bike would be great, 10+ . . plus you get a great rear rack,

jules h 28mph is legally considered a motorized vehicle and must be in compliance with all vehicular laws at that point (drivers license m is required since it will be classified as a motorcycle/motorized bike model, inspections and proper insurance protocols must also be in compliance). They can’t make it any faster than 20mph because at that point it’s a motorcycle.

@M e --- It really is 750 watts. But you can reach 28 mph if you are on pedal assist level 5 and peddling like the IRS is right behind you.

How was steering with the smaller fat tires? I’m thinking of getting a Mini, but I’d need to ride on narrow sidewalks at times and worried about steering around corners.

Dumb question maybe but are step throughs like this one considered more of a female bike? I'm 60 and thinking this might be a little more comfortable for me or my wife rather than the radmini. Thx.

Most people cannot afford 2 of these so you buy one and share it with your wife and both of you can sit comfortably. One at a time obviously.

@@10beers53 --- There are some other Rad step-thru videos out as well as some other makes of step-thru bikes here on KZitem. Several of us oldsters prefer this type due to knee and hip problems with not being able to swing a leg over like a teenager. 😉 Besides, the fat tire bikes can be a bit of a bear to peddle so you'd definitely need the pedal assist.
