👍🏽I do love how you’ve recognised the fact this is the real `range rover’. A lot people misunderstand that this sport model is merely 5” shorter in length, is missing the boot lid to sit on (a nice touch) and rides circa an inch lower on it’s basic setting. Hence the Vogue feels more masterful and larger on the road. Else it’s the same width and has the same mechanicals thus drive. But the suspension and balancing is where it all changes for me. Having driven/had c10 i(sport’s and vogue’s, inc. SVA’s and SVR’s) the sport is the one to go for if driving a lot and you have no pram age children. More controllable thru corners and ‘nimble’ if possible to say when parking. The gear shifter is better in the sport too, though the vogue’s twisting one isn’t as bad as people report. Bottom line is, these are amazing vehicles and deserve the respect and ownership pride they deliver. Interesting the secondary market for them is c20% above market…

👌🏽Thanks for the content and effort. 👎🏽Unbelievable how little research was done pre the review. .eg. “I don’t think there’s much else different to the regular models”

I’m shocked at reaching 24.5 mpg. That’s enough to put it in the running for family vehicle. The ride comfort is a concern

I bought a RRS 4.4 TDV8 a more sensible version. It is better on fuel and the engine produces a subtle growl. The ride is superb. However if money were no object I choose the 5.0 petrol supercharged.

Apologies, I missed your comments. Thanks for the feedback on the video and for subscribing! I was referring to the outside when I said I don't think there's too much different from the SVR versus the 'normal' models. Obviously the exhausts and badging, but to the untrained eye (I'm setting myself up for a fall here!!) it looks quite similar. Once you get inside and then into the mechanics, it's a whole different story. And it most certainly sounds different - Stevie Wonder would instantly be able to tell the difference! Being honest, that's how I tell them apart on the road as well. I quite like the subtlety of the changes going into the SVR model. Agree that these are fantastic vehicles, I can definitely see the appeal.

I'm on my second SVR. The earlier version, pre-facelift, was noisier and arguably more fun. However, in the UK, they are completely pointless. Yes, it's fun to show wannabes, who tailgate you in their BMWs, just what performance really is, but if you get into that sort of situation, you're not going to be able to restrict the thing to the speed limit - it's there before you can blink almost. It can also be a bit of a handful in the winter, when the roads are wet and covered in dissolved salt. You end up crawling around roundabouts because they get themselves into four-wheel drifts way too easily. Having said that, it's a controllable drift, so I suspect the traction control does actually know you're drifting, but it's a bit disconcerting. With hindsight, I wish I'd gone for the Autobiography version with the supercharged engine, because the reduction in power would hardly be noticeable 99% of the time.

Another honest great review. I do like SVR , but unfortunately I don’t have a shaved head, sleeve tattoo the ability to use a nearest disability parking space at supermarkets to use my phone. 🙊🤭

Hilarious how people love to typecast SVR drivers, BMW drivers, Audi drivers etc. etc. It shouldn’t take too much effort for you to arrange shaving of your head and a sleeve tattoo. It’ll bring you two steps closer to the driver you ‘really’ want to be old chap !
