Catacombs in the dlc pleasantly surprised me. Unlike the ones in the base game, they are all quite fun. Awesome video Billy keep it up

I liked the dungeons even in the base game so I really wouldn’t have minded more of those with the bigger catacombs being called “major catacombs” or something

I think that the highlight of the Darklight Catacombs is the fact that when you wnter the boss room, it's not your typical catacomb boss room. Its an open space, where the madness has encroached, an ominous hint at what's to come.

When I first played, I went into the fort of reprimand through the front entrance and was super confused when I saw the Grace particles through the back of the boss room. I parkoured from the top tower down on the wall below to get to it thinking there was more and didn’t realize til much later it was just a different entrance. So confused on the point of it until that point 😂

When I took the spiritspring up there, I landed on the ground behind the fort and not the fort itself so I was also super confused when I saw a grace down there, I thought jumping down there from above the boss was intended lol

I also went in the front and was convinced there must be some huge secret to the fort because of that grace. I spent like 10 mins searching around and just gave up. When I later found that spirit spring it all made sense!

I can’t believe this DLC left me wanting MORE of these. Imagine a frenzy themed cave in the Abyssal Woods… the catacombs preceding that area felt far more fulfilling to explore than it and put me more on edge too

Quick tip for the lamenter, you're actually supposed to find the real one. If you lay down enough damage on him, then the clones will all die without debuffing you.

Fog Rift Catacombs was the first minor dungeon I found in the DLC and I really enjoyed how unique it felt relative to those of the base game.

I think these normal dungeons are one of the highlights of the DLC. In the base game, there are only a few non-legacy dungeons that I really enjoy. A lot of the forts, caves, and catacombs just feel like filler areas, and many of them don't even have anything all too useful in them. By contrast, in the DLC these areas are awesome. I especially loved the forges. I'll even give them a pass for not having bosses because I love smithscript weapons and the golems and their cute fire puppies.

My favorite was probably the Fog Rift Catacombs. It being the first catacomb i found made me wonder how they would tackle them in the dlc and i was so happy to see they actually felt like proper dungeons now. The imp variants, that bit with the messmer soldiers and the spike ceilings were great and the death knight boss was really good. Way better than any boss in the base game dungeons

I'm still too enraptured with this dlc to rank anything. It's all S Tier. I was so happy discovering new things. Just absolutely plowed through a new game plus just to get back to the dlc.

My favourite dungeon has got to be the Lamenter's gaol, though all of them were much better than base game dungeons. I love thay one because it felt like I was getting involved in something I shouldn't even have discovered, a monster that was ready to break me, I did die a couple of times but it wad pretty fun overall

I really liked how the dark light catacomb broke off from the Death Knight + resource medallion as a reward formula the two other had. Made it surprisingly cool to find the armor set and the medallion in a chest, wondering what the boss replacing it would be

Curseblade Labirith has a tragic story that explains the darkness in it's boss fight. 😭 Noticed you forgot Shadow Keep, Castle Enis, Belarut Tower, the last area, and Midra's Manse for the list, since they're also dungeons in the game.

Tbh I wasn’t a big fan of most of the dungeons except Belurat Gaol and the Dragons Pit. I haven’t played through the forges but I’m sure I’m going to only like one of them. But I actually didn’t like my catacomb experience so far, like yay we definitely didn’t have enough imp dungeons in the main game, them also being the longest and most tedious, let’s also add three more and they’re some of the longest dungeons in the game and our selling point for them is annoying gimmicks, the sorcerers, and cannon imps, and a couple of enemies that only use like one new attack isn’t cool to me. The reason why I actually really liked the Dragon’s Pit is cause it uses enemies that provide the funnest combat experiences and seeing Farum Azula architecture underground is just really really cool. It’s just like it’s my own little mini Farum Azula underground, it’s mysterious, it’s fun to play through, and it has a cool boss. Edit: I actually like a lot of the base game dungeons about as much as these dlc ones if not more on occasion cause they’re not stretched out for too long (having three new dungeons that are very long with the same enemies gets tedious), main game dungeons I liked as much or more than the dlc are: obviously Ruin Strewn Precipice, Gelmir Hero Grave, Auriza Hero Grave, War Dead Catacombs, Gaol Cave, and Sellia Hideaway / Academy Crystal Cave, Highroad Cave, Spiritcaller Cave, Forlorn Cave, and Yelough Anix Tunnel. I feel like these ones do something unique to make them fun without also making them too big. I feel like a lot of the dungeons in the dlc actually suffer from that problem. Edit 2: Sages Cave, Deathtouched Catacombs, Sealed Tunnel, and Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel were almost up there as well.
