I was so engrossed with this video, I didn't want it to stop. The coins you put on show made my eyes pop, especially the Oliver Cromwell half crown. I've never seen one with them being so rare. It was the 🌟 of the show. I'd love to see a second video of Civil war coins. Thank you so much for showing such beautiful pieces of history 😉

Are these hammered coins with the straight edges the way they come out of the process - or does this indicate there have been 'nibbles' on the edges - either given as change - or deviously taken to produce a supply of precious metal for other purposes back in the day.

That was a big issue with coins prior to the addition of the milled edges and that could be one reason. There could be others for example damaged when being dug up etc. -CC

I may be wrong but I think that first coins king looks scrapped off, doesn't look like natural wear considering the quality on thr legend, great vid!
