Is it? I've tracked for a long time and therefore I was wondering about your comment. So I just tracked this cake and in my opinion it's not really healthy. Relativly yes! For a cake. It has a lot of good fats for example. But bad fats from the coconut as well. And it has really little protein in it. It is low carb. So If you think LCHF ist healthy then it's maybe healthy. I would say it's healthy for a sweet treat but it's still a treat.

@THE SCHOOL OF ART I did. As I mentioned I've tracked and researched for a long time. Coconut fat is saturated. It's supposed to be a superfood but often something is called a superfood it's not even science based. It's healthier than bacon for sure but you should still not eat huge amounts of it. I didn't say that this cake is super unhealthy. I said it's healthy in comparison to other treats. But it's not a macro tracker's dream. A macro tracker is happy, when all macros are in a good ratio and in this cake they are not. Only if you want to eat Low Carb High Fat. I don't think calories or sugar or good fats are a bad thing. But it gets unhealthy if it's too much. I just wanted to tell people who don't know much about macros that this cake isn't balanced at all. Small treats don't have to be balanced in my opinion but it's a treat. I've already mentioned that.

I absolutely loved it! I used raisins instead or dates, because that's just far cheaper and easier to find where I live, and it turned out great! The only thing is that it ended up tasting more like lemon pie than cheesecake, but tasty is tasty!

****RECIPE REVIEW!!!** I know this recipe is vegan and won’t taste exactly like regular cheescake but here are my thoughts. I personally wouldn’t make it again or refer this recipe to other people. The cup of maple syrup was too much and it made the whole cheesecake taste like syrup. (Other vegan recipes only call for 1/2 cup of syrup) It also wasn’t consistent like regular Cheescake and it tasted more like a frozen smoothie/ ice cream. When you freeze it it’s way too frozen but if you try to let it thaw out it melts. (If you like more if the ice cream taste you’ll probably like it) A recipe where it requires putting the cake in the oven would probably make it more like regular cheescake. The video itself was made so well and was straight to the point. In the future I personally will look for recipes that require using the oven and vegan cream cheese, i think this will give it the more regular cheesecake taste I and my boyfriend were looking for. Hope this review helps I’m not trying to be negative just giving my own opinion!

I figured it would be good frozen in summer, but when it's cooler weather put it in a dehydrator. Honey could be used instead of maple syrup to avoid that flavour. You could add some Brewers yeast to give it more cheesy flavour. Or my favourite would be to add some CBD cheese strain of Pot to the mix, and medicate the cake.

The filling is really delicious! I used a splash of vanilla almond milk instead of vanilla extract and an orange instead of lemon. I also used chia seeds and milled flax seed in addition to the other crust ingredients and it turned out great. Yayy love this recipe.

I like the fact that you did not use Coconut oil. 90% of the recipes that I find for a raw vegan cheesecake calls for coconut oil in the filling. If you wanted to make a strawberry or blueberry filling, could you use frozen strawberry or blueberry? If so, what quantity?

I tested out a bunch of different combinations for the filling and I think this one is perfect, no coconut oil necessary! And yes you can definitely add frozen strawberries or blueberries, you could even do a combination of both. That's the best thing about this recipe is that it is so versatile and you can make it so many unique ways. The amount is really up to you. The more you put in the darker the color will be and the more flavorful. if you only put in a little, the berry flavor will be very subtle. I would start out with only adding a little bit to the filling, tasting it before you freeze it and add more until you like it. I hope this is helpful! Good luck with it! :)

It has to be kept in the freezer or it will fall apart. But before serving it I would take it out and let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes to thaw out a little bit.

Made this today!! It’s amazing I used a much bigger shallower cake pan so the cream was a good amount but make sure to double the crust to get an even coating. Froze it all day and it was like vegan ice cream cake everybody flipped their shit over it SO GOOOOOD 😭😭😭😭💘💘💘

I tried this and I FAILED SO BAD!! My coconut milk wouldn't split and I have all the ingredients in the fridge and I'm waiting to see if I can by a new can or milk but I haven't had time this week... Ok, so I had to double the recipe because my pan is big. My coconut milk for the second layer of filling isn't separated yet even though it was in the fridge overnight. Other than that it tastes amazing so far. Thank you for sharing. Any tips for my little set back?

Hey! I'm sorry but I'm not sure about the coconut milk. I think that certain brands separate easier than others but for reference I use the Thai Kitchen brand which they sell at most stores in the U.S. So happy to hear that you tried it though and sorry I couldn't be of more help!

there's a certain ingredient in some canned coconut milks that will not allow it to form the hard layer. for example if you buy "lite" coconut milk, or just certain brands have i think it's a stabilizer in it, and the cream just won't form. make sure it's full fat!

oof so I just made this recipe and y'all are crazy using this "x cups" bullshit. I ended up using a lot more almonds than the recipe said, also wtf you want me to put 1 cup of syrup into this?? oof... I ended up mixing my syrup with some sugar and put just half a cup into it and duuuude it was so sweet I used like 3x the amount of lemon... still is wayy too sweet for my liking, but whatever... oh and also cashew nuts are fcking expensive at least in Europe so this might be the most expensive mediocre cake I've ever made. tastes okay but definitely wouldn't recommend it lmao sorry

This is a plant based cheesecake, but is not raw: - Cashews, even if labeled as "raw" are technically blanched. To release the nuts from their toxic outer skin, they must be steamed. - Maple syrup is cooked. Literally that's how they make it. They boil down sap from maple trees for hours (or even days) to get it to reduce. - Coconut milk can be raw, but if you're getting it from a can it's most certainly not. Also your almonds are labeled as raw but then below that state "steam pasturized". Raw almonds do exists, but these ain't it.

Yeah it takes 40 gallons of raw sap to make 1 gallon of syrup. What's your point? The almonds are pasteurized.Pasteurization happens at a lower temperature than cooking.

instead of the canned coconut milk ( not raw), raw Thai coconut meat works just fine... you can get it some places in the freezer section, or buy a Thai coconut, and scrape some out of the lid . simple. Then you have an all raw cake...=)

It's healthy and I'm sure it tastes awesome as well, however I have to say that canned coconut milk isn't raw, this is why most raw vegan recipes call for unrefined extra virgin coconut oil instead.

I like it, but I don't think canned coconut milk is raw vegan since it's heated to preserve it in the can, isn't it?
