WWE Creative needs to be kicked in their collective junk today. Not letting the new blood do anything organic, the new guys being trained to such a formulaic style to where almost every match (with a few exceptions like Asuka who has been around the block enough times to know how to put on compelling matches) is the same, people not selling a damn thing (this goes for the announcers and refs too), and so on. Just keep it simple: two people want to win and have their finishing moves. The whole match, they're either trying to land their finish or avoid the other person's finish. You don't need an "introduction, shine, cutoff, etc" sequence when you just work that angle, make it look like a credible fight, have the heel argue with the ref or do various cheats, and just do basic storytelling instead of "hurry up and get to the next spot!"

I still want to see the scoring because I want to see how much better WCW was really and then when we wind down into 1998 how much better Raw really was, but I agree that counting segments makes less sense with shows that are starting to become better defined by their main events. When it first started, the shows were an hour each and there wasn't a lot of big main event stuff, but now you're getting big ticket matches starting to headline both shows. The change will also give you a bit more creative freedom to cover some key matches at the start of both shows, because some of the best stuff happens toward the beginning. So basically I like the change just don't completely do away with the scoring because it is really interesting to compare shows on their ratings to how they were on their quality.

And yet the entire time Hogan was on top and Brett couldn't displace him, got a wonder why that was? No you don't. Love him or hate him, hogan was a once in a generation figure that transcended the sport, Brett Hart was a great wrestler, there's no comparison. The Hart fans are wrong, and if Brett Hart actually thought he should have displaced Hogan he was wrong. I grew up watching his era, Brett Hart was never as big a star as macho man or the ultimate Warrior and not even close to Hulk Hogan's league. You didn't see another figure that would fit in that category until stone cold Steve Austin and the rock. Takes nothing away from how great Brett was, he just didn't have the charisma to propel him into that next level. Brett Hartt shouldn't be compared to Hulk Hogan a better comparison is Lance storm.

@@ConnieLynchitzWhoElse "a little physicality"? Are you saying if you were a wrestler you'd welcome working with Vader every night because he brought "a little physicality" to the product? Throwing full force punches at your opponents head is nothing but incompetence and recklessness. Numerous wrestlers complained about Vader injuring them, including wrestlers that liked him on a personal level. He was injuring people who could actually draw money. Where, in reality he wasn't a major draw in WWF Furthermore, WWF was never a territory that used ridiculous stiffness as a selling point. Look at wrestlers like Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn, wrestlers who could have legitimately beaten up the entire roster, including Vader. They managed to bring legitimacy and physicality to WWF without causing much injury or having wrestlers being reluctant to work with them.

Guys like Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko and Ultimo Dragon have shot up massively in my estimation! Can't wait to see more of La Parka in the future too. Interesting to hear guys like Chris Jericho say the "cruiserweights" never really talked to the main-eventers and that he never even shared a ring with the Macho Man. I think smart wrestling fans started seeing through the old guard WCW were pushing and wanted to see the new talent work with them. Let's stay tuned to "Reliving the War" and find out if they will!
