Another awesome upload, from the greatest wrestling channel on the planet. The beginnings of the build up to the debut of Kane on Raw. It was such an over the top storyline. However at the same time, very entertaining. I think from here WWF is going to start running away with “the war”. Besides maybe the odd win from WCW the odd week here and there. This is when WWF really started to come into its own. 1997 was the greatest year for WWF quality wise. Only improving as the year wore on.

Yeah, this is one of those episodes of Raw that ends up going down in history - even if it's for the lore rather than the matches. I remember discussing Kane with my best friend on the school playground at the time. We just assumed he would be showing up at some point and we both drew pictures of what we thought he should look like. The actually Kane reveal ended up blowing our minds though and was way better than our ideas (which come to think it - were suspiciously similar to Wrath and Mortis' design). I also never realised that this episode was Cole's first appearance as well. Pretty interesting all in all.

@martynodonnell8467
2 жыл бұрын
The Pillman gun angle, was featured in a November 1996 episode of Raw. Where Austin broke into Brian Pillmans home, only to be met with Pillman and a gun. I understand Pillman was injured at the time. However a proper feud between Austin and Pillman with a couple of PPV matches, seems like such a missed opportunity. I wonder what it would have done to Austin, Bret Hart and Pillmans careers if they had Austin VS Pillman at WM13, instead of Austin VS Hart.
