I'm not in the market for speakers, but Zys reviews are too good to miss
@justinl3956
6 жыл бұрын
0:50 It's because of the acoustic wave physics that arise from using a single ~2" driver inside an enclosure. Low frequencies are spread evenly in all directions like a bare light bulb would spread light, while increasingly higher frequencies will form an increasingly narrow "beam" of acoustic energy just like a flashlight focuses light. Therefore, the ideal listening position is with each speaker pointed directly towards its respective ear. However, as you pointed out in the video, they neither can angle upwards nor have any kind of stand to bring them to ear height. The main advantage to these speakers is (1) their small size, and (2) their attractive design. I can tell you that just from looking at them (speaker design is my hobby).

Like all companies have. What's different about Razer?
@captapraelium1591
6 жыл бұрын
They appear to have a policy of low build quality or perhaps even planned obsolescence, so their stuff tends to seem real cool at first and then break down leaving you out of pocket for new stuff (or at least, out of gear while you wait for warranty replacement and then have to do that a few times over). That's why people get all bitter about it, because you get built up and then let down :( And like you've said there really is a 'brigade', it's more than just what always happens with any company where there are fans and haters... it's not something that just happened overnight, they slowly built up a bad rep over the years as people tried to help others avoid the traps they fell into. If I worked for razer, I'd be taking an 'honesty is the best policy' approach, openly admitting to their quality issues and making a demonstrated commitment to changing it. I think that's the only way they can regain the trust of the userbase.

Before i found out you were Australian i had imagined you were an Asian guy lol. I guess it was the way you said certain things that painted that image. I use speakers and headphones but a good pair of speakers positioned correctly can give very good imaging. Sometimes headphones make me feel nauseous since they isolate the ears the left ear isnt hearing from the right, the right ear isnt hearing from the left which isnt how we naturally hear .though using an amp/preamp that uses 3d holographic sound or crossfeed can help.

No offence to Razer but you can get much better PC speakers for the price. I've used the Logitech Z623 and the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1s. The Logitech's were arse so I returned them for the Pro Media 2.1s. I've had my Pro Media 2.1s for 5 years and couldn'tbe happier with them. They can be had for 80-100$ on sale and 150$ when not on sale.
@mikhailshi
6 жыл бұрын
150$ isn't cheap and they seem to sound kinda bad (never heard them in person and youtube demos are not a proper way to listen to speakers, but these are razer and "gaming" and this rarely means "good").. 90$ would get you and edifier r1280t 2.0 system, or you could get a r1280db version if you dislike the 70s aesthetic for 120$ (and its bluetooth). just a single example of a properly designed 2.0 system for cheap, there are much more if you do research.
