I feel monthly* would be a little too frequent, I'd imaging most builds would be quite similar in the SFF community.. I'd personally go with a 6 month cadence to help spread things out and allow new hardware/SFF cases to release in between each episode. Other than that I agree 100% this should become a normal part of the channel.

Awesome to see my build featured! (2:50) Agree the cables are a disaster (largely due to running SATA data and power to all my SSDs), but as you said once the panels are on you really can't tell. My justification for the riser cable being jammed down like that is to get the excess down under the graphics card rather than blocking airflow out of the top of the case above the motherboard. And the fan splitter is actually just an insanely bulky way of powering that UV LED strip along the bottom lol. Love the videos, feels so special to get a shout out! And as a fellow Australian, I hope you're not Melbourne based and are able to stay safe!

I understand if someone doesn’t need an extremely powerful computer but also wants a custom loop. But making a custom loop that costs 2x more than the computer hardware alone is a little extreme. I can’t bring myself to do a custom loop knowing I can put that money into doubling or tripling the power of the system. Had I don’t a custom loop in my own rig I would have a considerably slower computer.

I also have the ZS-A4 v2 from Taobao, and I love it. I will say, it's not quite as easy to build in as you might think, but once it's built it is a very tiny case. I believe it comes in at 7.5L, which for me is the perfect size to put in a backpack and take on a plane. It's essentially a slide-out alternative to something like a Dan A4 from Taobao. The two main issues I had with building in this case were the front panel connectors (luckily, my motherboard came with front panel extensions that made them really easy to plug in), and the fact that if anything goes wrong or your system won't boot, you need to take the entire computer apart to diagnose what's gone wrong. I did actually manage to short the CMOS pins through the holes of the case with a very precise allen wrench, but it wasn't the easiest thing in the world. It's also worth noting that it supports either one 120x25mm case fan OR 2x2.5" SSDs using the brackets provided with the case. Overall, great case, minimal instructions on how to build in it or what kind of support it has (for those of us who can't read Chinese), but overall it wasn't a huge headache. As my first ITX build, I'm very proud to have built in it, and I couldn't be happier having downgraded from a mATX case. I would love if you could get your hands on it and review it! I was lucky enough to score a deal on it from someone in the US, but check out Superbuy for ordering from Taobao, and I'm sure a lot of people on r/sffpc have a ton of knowledge about stuff like that.

Taobao has an official out sourced international freighting service. The process is: 1: place an order and pay the seller on taobao and choose the international freighting service(by air/sea), and seller will ship it to the freighting companies' warehouse. 2: when your package arrives at the warehouse, they weigh your package and you pay them accordingly. 3: After the freighting company has accumulated some packages it will ship out in batches for economical efficiency, so shipping time varies(about a month by sea to Australia, depending on current circumstances it may be longer, Australian custom is pretty strict and can hold on to your package for some time). You'll need: A Chinese immigrant friend(not Australian born Chinese) that actually knows how taobao works and help you with communication/reading. Some items can't be air freighted so better consult with seller before proceeding. I'm not sure if you can pay with mastercards but unipay probably works, best if you can ask your Chinese friend to pay using his/hers ''zhi fu bao'' or Chinese bank account, and you pay him/her in AUD. Depending on the destination country, taobao has different contracted freighting companies, so shipping time/service is really a gamble, there are examples that packages are lost in process.

In my SFF builds that don't have tempered glass, I always use the modular cables that come with the PSU, I just cut them to length to keep everything as clean as possible. It's time consuming, not as time consuming as custom sleeving, but also not very difficult. You jist need a couple mini-fit Jr molex tools like pullers and crimpers and a bunch of connectors. It really does make a world of difference not having a ton of extra cables to deal with.

The cables at 13:40 could be from Taobao, Taobao is an amazing place to get cheap cases and PSUs. A 500w Gold-Rated PSU with custom cables for less than 100 USD(if I remember) is something you will not get anywhere else. US flex prices for a 500w were in the 200s.

The cables at 13:36 look very similar to what G-Unique uses for his PSU builds. I've not been able to find a good source of these yet in the USA but they seem common in custom components I've received from manufacturers in China. They're a mostly transparent white/silver silicone covered wire. These are thin, very flexible, and provide a cleaner look, in my opinion, over custom sleeved PVC wires, which are thicker, stiffer, and difficult to work with.

You can simply log-in Taobao with Alipay account The only downside is Taobao has no English user interface, navigating through the website is kinda difficult if you have no clue in Chinese. Taobao does handle worldwide shipping, either straight from the retailer or international shipping warehouse (cheaper option).

Hey Ali, I'm the owner of the ZS A4-v2 as shown in 6:44 yeah i brain farted and used 0.9mV instead of 0.9V :P Reasoning on why i went for Asrock Fatality was because the next best thing is the B450i Aorus Pro with the same price point, 125US$ (Malaysia). Both has weak VRMs anyways so I went with the Fatality instead as it has "better" onboard audio which i use a lot. Then we have MSI B450i gaming plus OC, with the best VRMs but I've been told the audio is kinda "meh" but costs 150~200US$, since it's only a 2600X, and I've used the BIOS which is abysmal (coming from a b450 tomahawk non-max), so I skipped this MOBO. Then we have the ASUS ITX Boards, never in stock. Even if in stock, the asus B450i strix is 300$ (dont even ask about the x470/570 strix). Came from a NZXT H500 (imgur.com/gallery/vfKRzAu here's a gallery of the H500) to this case which is the best decision I've ever done as I can just put the ZSA4 i a 17" laptop bag with all the peripherals whenever I travel from home to Uni. You are the main reason why i had the inspiration to go ITX and SMOLL. Anyways, thanks for commenting on my build!

Hey Ali, great video. I've ordered a Metalfish G5 (ITX) shipped to Sydney off TaoBao for ~$180 AUD inc fast shipping (Pre-COVID). I used the shipping agent Superbuy. Was a good experience. When they receive the package they take photos of all the parts for you to confirm its all there beofre relaying it on. I'd recommend these guys.
