It was totally different hearing the album when it first came out. It seemed like it had been forever since any new Mac had come out, and I loved the new sound, it showed his growth as an artist. But after he passed, and you start paying more attention to the lyrics, you get this helpless feeling with the new perspective of his words describing his hopeless battle with addiction that I didn't pick up while he was still with us. You hear the call for help, which was in most of his songs before this, just more out in the open, but he did such a good job in this album in masking the cry for help. I love this album now, but it makes me tear up every single listen through. Thanks for the reaction man

There is definitely a high level of maturity and contentment in this album. Almost like he's riding through that battle fully self aware of his condition. It's beautiful and tragic at the same time. I don't think I can listen to these songs and not tear up now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I will definitely be checking out more of his music on the channel in the future!

I think this is why the album resonated with so many people. Society is an addict yet we hide it, putting on this face like we’re alright. Him putting it all out in the open in the way that he did allows people to feel those tough emotions in a beautiful way.

Something i love about Mac is how connected and so beautiful put together everything is. Every one of his songs, even during his young career, leaves no empty spacing- even if it’s just a short guitar solo, or the saxophone from his song Skin. Nothing is left out he was so amazingly and perfectly talented.

i listened to circles and swimming during the lockdown in 2020 , bro it was one of the best moment of my life , ive had never experienced smth like that , it felt like a slap in the face , Those two albums are so different than what I used to listen to , its so different, its not just RAP, its a new genre. bro Mac Miller music has the ability to allow you to get inside his mind , to think like him , to see what he was going through. He was really a great rapper, singer, genius ,and above all a great artist. He had so much potential 🙂, Sorry I can talk about hime all day long . Circles and Swimming are the best albums I've listened to Thank you for this reaction bro

Great job👊😎. I was never into Mac's music , mainly because I'm a bit older & not his usual age demographic. However, shortly after his passing, I walked into a smoke shop and they were playing this album, which instantly caught my ear. After the cashier told me Mac Miller, I was intrigued. Went home and I can say that Swimming was my 1st introduction to Mac Miller and I will never forget that experience. This entire project is beautiful, Sonically but moreso Emotionally. I completely connected with every track. That kinda stuff only happens to me with Bjork. I have gone thru his discography and we'll...👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💯. I started with KIDS and worked my way thru and every project is Uniquely relatable. Swimming remains as my favorite , mainly because it was my 1st Intro to Mac. Divine Feminine would be my 2nd favorite & 3rd - KIDS

Love the video man for some context on the song 2009 that’s the year mac blew up so it’s a reflection of a time when things were more simpler for him and then for so it goes the ending the day he died he tweeted out that he wanted it the ending of the song to sound like an ascension Into heaven kinda crazy and gives those songs more depth. Hey man, I'm really glad I found your channel. Lately I was revisiting Mac's stuff a lot and I really love the fact that there are still people that discover his music, this way he lives on in a way. I'm also a huge rock fan (mostly punk, grunge and the classics) but I learned to love hip hop just in the last few years and Mac's early stuff was one of the first things I discovered. His musical progression over the years is just amazing. Thanks a lot for that reaction, as weird as it might sounds, it means a lot to me! I am really looking forward to your Circles reaction! If I'm allowed to make a suggestion for the future: please check out MF DOOM at some point!! Greetigs from Germany

@@lusciousluie I am stoked to hear that! I’ll be waiting for all the new stuff. I think you bring a lot to the table for a channel like this, first of all youre obviously a really emotional, empathic person, which allows you to feel the things the artist tried to express and which is more or less necessary to understand the last 2 Mac Miller projects. Also it’s really interesting that youre, despite of your musical background and knowledge, kinda new to hip hop and hip hop artists that might even grew into other genres. There’s a lot of talent and passion in hip hop! Im excited for the future of this channel Oh and its a great idea to go through Mac‘s stuff from beginning to end, his whole process as a musician and as a person is very special. My favorite of his older projects is K.I.D.S., but the top spot overall has to be Swimming, closely followed by Circles (even though it’s almost a two parter, but the ‚Swimming In Circles‘ idea is a whole different story)
