The lifetime job would kill me inside, though I know how many people would love to have that, especially now. I just love feeling free and the thrill of what can come next in life. I can also totally relate to your high-energy. I too talk fast as my speech tries to catch up with my thoughts. Speaking for myself, a racing mind and restlessness is a continuous struggle and prompted my love for yoga and getting certified at the 200-hour level. Regular yoga practice and your videos help a lot, I am very grateful 🧡🙏 My question to you would be whether or not you practice meditation? This is a struggle for me, naturally, due to my incessant mind, which at the same time shows how much I need it.

One of my favorite teachers is not a vegetarian and hates chocolate. You are young and a total delight. By not eating breakfast you're definitely accomplishing the hardest part of intermittent fasting, but there are other variables involved that could be keeping you from reaching a fasting state, the biggest being your coffee "non-addiction". ;) If you have any coffee in the morning, that would break your fast unless it's black, which is generally considered ok for fasting, though not by all, as even black coffee contains a tiny amount of calories. Green tea is a safer bet for a little bit of caffeine without any calories.

I love how there is a small cut in the video and when it comes back there is a bite mark out of your paper! LOL I get so sick of how people that do yoga should look, I won a t-shirt in a drawing from a yoga retreat place. And they send a shirt that is on the small side of large, I am a 6'1" man that wears an XXL! It was free and it was super great of them to do a giveaway, but I was a little annoyed that they assume I am so skinny small framed person. I also know how you feel about everyone thinking you don't drink or anything because you are a yoga teacher, I am on the other side of the fence. I live in rural Kansas, everyone assumes I love beer, football, muscle cars, and meat. When I could careless about muscle cars, I think football is stupid, I have never drank, and I have been vegan forever! LOL P.S. Don't buy a Kia, or at least read reviews first. The quality is very poor!

Sure, I'll copy it here. it was from earlier this year: Hey there! Thanks for the wonderful videos you have. I don't practice Yoga for the most part but I do the stretches before other workouts I do (more of a cardio kick & boxer kind of a person) and always found them very helpful and relieving after workouts as well. Wanted to ask for some thoughts. For some weeks now I've been assisting a legally blind friend of mine to do Yoga (she can see, but everything is fuzzy). One Yoga instructor of hers asked me once if I could stay and assist her with her class, since there were many students in the class and would be a little unfair if she assisted/correcting her every pose, so have been helping since. She's really grown a passion for it, and has grown strength too, and while she can follow verbal instructions, occasionally I have to correct her or fully assist her to an extent when she is with a new Yoga instructor or a sub (new routine and all). However, I hardly know much about Yoga, so I always have trouble trying to fully correct her, or even explain more "complicated" poses, unless I try to do them myself, which can be a limited thought. Came across your channel looking for particular poses & transitions. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks luv.
@yogawithkassandra
5 жыл бұрын
@@Silent157 Thank you for copying it here! To be completely honest, I'm a bit surprised that the instructor placed the responsibility on you to do this. While I'm sure it was well-intended, it's not your place to be doing the job of an instructor and should be left to yoga teachers. I think it's wonderful that you are trying to help her!! The best thing would be for you to be a teacher yourself in order to have proper understanding of alignment in postures as well as hands-on assists. Your friend may even want to take a training herself to feel more at ease in any yoga class, regardless of the teacher. Liability wise, you are putting yourself at risk by assisting someone without being certified and insured and so is the teacher who is passing off responsibility to you.. I definitely understand the struggle from the teacher's point of view of trying to help everyone equally in the class and not giving that one student all of her attention, that's tough!! But at the end of the day, the teacher is the teacher and the student is the student. If I were the teacher in this position, I would approach the studio managers to see if there could be an additional service provided to this student, having a Teacher's Assistant in her classes or offering that particular student a few private sessions so that she can learn how to manage on her own without relying on you. I wish I could help a bit more but for now that's the best I can do. Very sweet of you to be helping :)
@Silent157
5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply luv. Funny story how I first started to help...was in jeans that evening, maybe I'll mention it sometime. To clarify, I only assist with little adjustments, like if she accidentally lifts the wrong leg/arm or right instead of left or a pose where she needs a little help with balance (so I'm actually not taking the class, I'm sitting behind her, keeping to myself). The more complex stuff like "Bird of Paradise", I really can't explain with words though lol, and that's where she gets lost. The place is not a Yoga-onlystudio, but more of a gym that offers classes as part of a membership. There's literally a Zumba class before her Yoga class, and a Cardio Kick in the same studio days later. Otherwise, I'm sure the instructor would have known in advance or had other setups prepared, like what you mentioned. Class usually has anywhere between 15-40 students...higher number if the instructor is really popular, like one lady from Sweden. Since the time I wrote that message, she's been able to do the classes more independently, and I've given Yoga a shot myself too to a certain degree. I'm definitely not as flexible though, can't do a full split like others can...so doing some training may not be an option for me. I have suggested she try a one-on-one private class with an instructor she likes, but hasn't yet. Some more details i wanted to give, thanks again for the quick reply =)

I will level with you, you have tremendous ability and wonderful talent and I'm grateful for your Channel. But if you weighed 300 pounds I would not be watching you. Why? Because I'm only on the surface? No! It is because if I am going to go to learn how to lift weights I'm not going to go to a 98-pound weakling. If I want to learn how to stretch move and look and feel great I'm not going to go to someone who is obese.
