Canon's EOS R5, and it's siblings, can be powered and charged via the USB-C port. To accomplish this Canon sells an expensive power adapter, but you don't need it. Any USB-PD, or power delivery, compatible charger with sufficient specs can power the EOS R5.
This video is an update to my original video on the topic, Unfortunately, there were errors in the manual that lead to me providing incorrect information about what kind of charger or battery pack you needed. This video corrects that error.
TL;DR: To charge the batteries in your R5, you need a 15W or higher USB-C PD capable charger, I've used Apple's 18W USB-C iPad Pro charger for this. To actually power the camera, you need a 27W or higher capacity USB-C PD charger.
I'm currently using an Anker PowerPort III 65W 2-port charger (amzn.to/3ow7igd [affiliate link]) for this and this is the charger that's providing power in the sample clips in this video.
