I had a heart attack earlier this year. I do suffer from anxiety from time to time, and have always had issues with IBS and gas pains. This felt totally different though, I immediately knew something wasn't right when the pain started, it was like a switch went off. It wasn't too sharp of pain but it was constant in my left chest and I just didn't feel well at all. Luckily, I called 911 within 5-10 minutes, and they got me in. It sounded like it was one of the major type heart attacks, they had to put in two stents. They got me on meds and I've cleaned up my diet and started exercising more, which I had been totally neglecting for several years, including during covid. The 6 months or so leading up to the attack, I noticed that I was retaining more fluid especially in my legs, so that was probably a symptom that things weren't working so great.

Just wanted to clear something put . If you suffer with anxiety and you watch this video keep in mind that many of the symptoms of a heart attack are similar to a panic attack . So next time that you feel something like that might not be correlated with any health problems ( especially if you have done the exams and you are healthy) but with anxiety . I ve been through that i know how it is and how scary it can be and then the moment that you feel a minor discomfort you feel like you're gonna die . So keep in mind that this video's purpose is to inform and not scare and terrorize people .

I was experiencing some anxiety watching this video, and was even hesitant to click on it. Because sometimes, I do feel a slight discomfort around the heart area and I'm not sure what's actually a cause for alarm and definitely do not want to go to the hospital over nothing. I just never know what may actually be the real deal. I'm 29, btw, don't smoke and I'm not close to being overweight.

My father died on his 45th birthday from a massive heart attack. It was horrible and in front of me. He was sweating bullets, left arm pain, etc. He had a cardiac workup two weeks before which came out normal/non cardiac related. Trust the symptoms, but by the time my dad rolled his eyes up he was gone. The moaning in agony was horrible. I tried CPR to no avail. Edit for clarity: this happened when I was fifteen actually three days from turning 16 when he died. He never knew of Covid nor vaccine mandates. Thank you for all of your kind words. It was the worst night of my life and I have suffered emotionally from watching him die, looking terrified, and he was a tough guy too.

on 17th October 2020, my paternal uncle complained about throbbing back pain near shoulder region. We were totally clueless but he soon developed other symptoms like nausea and cold sweats. It was Saturday and the time was around 1.30 pm. We initially thought that it was due to cold exposure as season was shifting to winter. At around evening time, doctors confirmed the heart-attack after ECG at Shireen-Bagh Hospital. He was diagnosed with atherosclerosis. Doctors injected heparin and plasminogen activator and finally around midnight (2 am) my uncle found relief from the severe pain. Next day, I visited hospital in the morning and he was completely okk but on 19th October (Monday) at 12.30 pm, he went into coma. He was then kept on ventilator but by evening, the situation exacerbated and doctors told us that he won't recover as he was developing multiple organ failure and pulmonary oedema. The next day on 20th October at around 10 am he breathed his last. I can never forget one of the darkest moment in my life when I held the lifeless body of my uncle in my arms

There are a few things you can do to help the person experiencing a heart attack: 1. Have them sit down and rest in a comfortable position 2. If the person is conscious and not allergic to aspirin, give them a dose of aspirin (usually 325mg) to chew or swallow, as this can help prevent blood clots from forming 3. If the person loses consciousness, begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) immediately, if you are trained in how to do so 4. Stay with the person until help arrives and monitor their vital signs (such as breathing and pulse) Early intervention can make a big difference in the outcome of a heart attack. It’s important to act quickly and call for emergency assistance if you suspect a heart attack is occurring

Doc is right, not everyone suffers those "Hollywood" heart attacks, clutching the chest and collapsing. Back in high school in the 80's my friend's dad suffered a heart attack, (he survived) he said it felt like someone was sitting on his chest and he drove himself to the hospital. Doc told him after running some tests he had a mild one but he needs to quit smoking (he had a 2 pack a day habit) or he might not be so lucky the next time. He quit that very day...

I googled a bit and apparently, there are two reasons: (1) Indians are at higher risk of heart attacks at a young age than westerners because of dietary habits (high in sodium), high incidence of diabetes, hypertension, etc. and (2) this has not fully been proven yet, but covid may also affect the heart vessels, it may cause inflammation of the heart vessels which can also cause a heart attack.

At 1:24 you're saying "many heart attacks begin with only mild discomfort in the chest that intensifies over time" - about what kind of timespan are we talking about? Like a couple of seconds or minutes? Or can you feel this mild discomfort even earlier?
@ASI-l2w
7 ай бұрын
In my experience..it happens over minutes, rather than seconds. I have had 2 “silent” heart attacks. The first I had no knowledge of and it was only discovered when I was admitted with the 2nd one. The 2nd one presented as chest discomfort (pressure) and neck discomfort (pressure also). There is an overwhelming sense of “something is seriously wrong”, sweating, high pulse, high BP and weakness. Resting and trying to relax does not help. After approx 30 mins like this, I called for an ambulance. The medics did an ECG and immediately confirmed it. Blood tests at hospital look for elevated Troponin levels, which are a definite sign of heart damage. In my case, I had an angiogram, which identified severe coronary atherosclerosis in several arteries connected to my LAD (left anterior descending). However, they could not see the offending blockage and nothing further was done. I have been treated with medication ever since. Hope this helps and good health.

Feel like this is common with the job market. Worming longer hours for less pay jobs trying everything they can to cut corners. I was close to having one myself. Was working a job that pretty much did try to work me to death. The hours got put of control. Was consuming dangerous amounts of caffeine to try to keep myself awake. Caught myself dosing off a couple times driving. I did advise my ex supervisors about the job. They didnt care. All I got was good job no one can do it but you speech. I had chest pain sweat easy difficult time breathing at times. Resting heartbeat was over 170. Regular routines such as walking bending down made it rise to 200 plus. 1 night my body finally gave out when I got home and I collapsed on my bed. I slept for over 13 hours. I felt like crap. Thats when I knew I had to take better care of myself. I quit that job and they tried to ghost ob me. Long story short. Labor board ripped them apart. Tore the company a new one. Never let jobs take advantage of you. Where you are working just to work. Not able to value your experience or time. Way to many jobs like that. Especially more than ever with the inflation bad.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing such distressing symptoms, and that despite undergoing various tests and seeing multiple cardiologists, you still feel that you might have a heart attack. It's possible that what you're experiencing could be related to anxiety or panic attacks, which can produce symptoms similar to those of a heart attack. I hope you can find the help you need.

My heart attack started in my back, starting from the left shoulder blade and spreading to the right shoulder blade. My left arm went numb then the pain traveled up my neck making it feel like,my airway was being crushed then the pain landed in the right side of my jaw. I could hardly breath. It lasted a long time. I realized I was having a heart attack as I have a horrible family history of heart disease and watched my dad have 4 heart attacks and open heart surgery by the time he was 41. I prayed and went to bed. I did not tell anyone I had a heart attack until about two weeks later. I ended up having a quardruple bypass open heart surgery 3 m onths after having the heart attack. No, absolutely not. On the contrary, if you exercise a lot, eating eggs is actually good for your body (eggs contain a lot of protein). I'm not a fan of eliminating one particular food product completely. Why would dairy products be bad? If you want to eat vegan, go for it, but don't do it for your heart (alone) - cause it's not necessary :)

Sweating is a common symptom of a heart attack. But you wouldn't be able to walk around with a heart attack for longer than a few days. If you're having these symptoms for weeks or even months, I'm pretty sure it's not a heart attack.

Doctor ruled out its depression and anxiety disorder (which i cannot disagree with because I’ve had panic attacks and i get anxious a lot over small things). I’ve also suffered a whiplash in October 2022, and I don’t know if that’s a contributor too but whatever it is, chest pain really freaks you out.
