These videos showing what you take home are among my favorites. It's so cool to see what a record store owner is able to add to their personal collection. ♥️ Record store owners work very hard so you definitely deserve this benefit. Enjoy them all.

Look out for an 82 red Japanese mono version of Revolver. It’s my favorite pressing and I have the new and 2014 monos.

@@TooManyRecords I find it to be punchier with more low end than the 2014. It’s counter to what most people say about Japanese pressings, but it’s dead quiet like all Japanese pressings. The only reason I can think of for the punchiness over the 2014 is that the tapes were over 30 years younger when it was cut.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on that Japan LZ IV. That's the only LZ in my collection that I don't have a definitive pressing of.

Idk if you have it or not, but you should try to get your hands on an OG US Press 2xlp Metallica Black album copy. I have the first US press Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets copies as well, and the Black album sounds the best in terms of fidelity. Just a tip. Also, I dont know if you have an Original Alice in Chains MTV unplugged (not the MOV, which also sounds solid) but definitely worth grabbing if you can.

Same boat my man. Just got 18 boxes of OG premium Japanese pressings. High on my own supply: Japanese Press with OBIs and all the extras Miles Davis The Man with the Horn The Musings Of Miles Sonny Rollins Way Out West Contemporary Rolling Stones Some Girls That’s it !!! I promise ……. Although the Clash White Label promos are very tempting plus another 100 but the other 795 will be up on Anarchy Vinyl B. T. W. In the 795 Scorpions - Lonesome Crow / PROMO in the Brain Metronone label.

Nice selection. Hits Are For Squares doesn't cover their whole career because it each track was selected by a different person so there is no cohesive theme or vision for how it plays as a whole. That said, it does do a pretty solid job of sticking to their most accessible side so it's great if I'm in that mood. They're one of my favorite bands but I can see why they're a "greatest hits band" for a lot of people. If I'm being honest I suspect a lot of their stuff is kind of a you had to be there thing, or at least it requires a strong sense of the context of the scenes they were in. That Motörhead set is cool. I would suggest thinking about getting a live album (preferably No Sleep Till Hammersmith but any of them will do) since you get s better feel for Lemmy's charisma from those and Another Perfect Day; Rock & Roll or 1916; and one from the late 90s on just to represent different line ups. That said, Motörhead is the most reliable band of all time. When you're in the mood for them any album will do so unless the bug bites hard you don't need all of them. On the other hand any time you run across an album of theirs you don't have you will always know you'll enjoy it when you spin it.

Classic rock and metal suck. Only decent record is Sonic Youth. Why don't people collect 50s rockabilly, surf and 60's garage? All that stuff is way cooler than anything else.

Glad to see you pull that Smokey Robinson LP! He’s one of the most gifted pop songwriters ever. If you’ve never listened to his solo LP Quiet Storm I would highly recommend it. Gorgeous, elegantly funky, and one of my favorite records. The 3xLP Motown anthology for The Miracles is also a good grab, and pretty cheap considering the amount of killer songs that are packed into it! Best of luck!

Hey Matt! I live in the Portland area and I've been buying vinyl for about 7 years now. When my wife and I go antique shopping, I always look for records in the antique malls around the area. I've found some gems at these places. I've been to the one out by Hood River where you went in this video. 😊

It's a habit basically since the start of the channel to put light background music. I think most "talk to camera" youtubers do it, so I figured I'd do it as well. I think this is the first comment against it. I'll keep it in mind, and I appreciate the compliment most importantly.

I saw Gruntruck open for Screaming Trees and headliner Alice in Chains back in 1992. They won me over from the opening notes of Tribe. Great band. Being in Canada, I went to some effort to secure myself a copy of Push during what will now come to be known as RSD 2021 "Drop 1". Glad I did; it sounds (and looks) great!
