Although your shooting is all about concentration, skill and precision, your videos have a very relaxing effect on me. Interesting how this contradictory effect is produced. I suppose the great music, the lack of speech and your very composed and cool demeanor are the main reasons for it. Great video, thanks for another show!

I have no idea why, but a lot of these rat shooting videos are relaxing to me. In fact I'm in b d, having a hard time falling asleep right now. There is a particularly soothing effect with this guy's videos though. I think the music, and the slower pace is what does it. He shows long enough set ups, without banging on about it, and not a shot a second. Just about tight timing. This guy is a great shot too.

Wonderful to see you back out and taking care of business. Got a question for ya... I have noticed that on this ratting journey there were a number of rats taken at the same spot many times over. Do you go and collect during a slow spot or is this over a number of days and an edited video? Another question... what is your opinion of a 17HMR round for taking crows and magpies? Too fast, not enough grunt, ???. How much practice do you get in per day, week, month, in order to be this accurate? I am totally fascinated by your accuracy! Definitely a pro! Keep up the good work and vid's !!
@simon6ppc246
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot Robert, i will be truthful this video was filmed in two nights at the same spot but as you can see i do move tubs out the way and such and things do slightly chance in the scenery, but also i shot the same two nights with my HW 100 and Pard 008 as well so in two nights at the same farm i have done two videos with two different rifles the HW100 one i am editing as we speak will be going on next week may be. Ye the 17 HMR is a good little varmint round and i have used one but for me to say 150/ 200 yards may be a tad more but that's it, with my 223 i can reach to 500 yards and more hence why i use it.. And finally ye accuracy wise i have spent my life as you can tell shooting, years in the clay pigeon scene shooting comps and have spent 30 odd years shooting a 6ppc rifle trying to hit the same bloody bullet hole even out at 300 yards not as i always do mind ya but do try so i suppose all the experience does pay off pal.

Watching you really makes me want to get out and start shooting again, but am not able to at this current time. The fire danger season is upon us and things are already burning around here. @@boydwyllie8047 Ye Boyd for very close ratting a .22 sub 12ftlb be spot on may be even better its just when you get say a 40 yard shot they drop so much making it hard work for a precise shot were as a 177 is a lot flatter pal..

Yes, the progress of the PCP air rifle just keeps amazing me. The large bore guys .357 and above) over her in the states are hunting deer, wild hog, and even bear with their air guns!
