I love that you appreciate Lolly's vocals, his guitar work and scatting. This group has been sorely overlooked and I am glad that they are enjoying a resurgence in their music. They had many great songs that spoke to your heart and soul written from their hearts and souls. Pat and Lolly Vegas were way ahead of their time.

The song is about this...Lolly Vegas (the singer) tells his girlfriend that she's perfect the way she is. "What's the matter with your hair?" He asks, before explaining that there's wrong with her mind, her sign, or anything else. It's a affirmative and empowering song where he encourages her to take what she deserves: to come and get her love.Btw Lolli Vegas passed away in 2010 and the other guitarist Tony Bellamy (the guy with the native American outfit) also passed away in 2009 rip

Your generation dont understand..I loved redbone but the bigger thing is the show they was on..the midnight special with wolfram jack..in came on at 11pm every friday night then at 12 Don Kirshner rock concert for the more hardrock acts..in the 70s we didn't have cable TV or youtube or internet the only way we seen most bands was them 2 shows or in concerts a lot the time we didn't even know what the bands look like I remember wild cherry play that funky music..most people thought it was a black band but was surprised when they seen them. I remember the first time I seen kiss live was in don Kirshner rock concert..all my friends came to my house to watch the 10 minute performance because we had a color tv plus my mom and dad was cool bandidos bikers didn't care if we stayed up late..lol
