First, I want to thank to thank you for answering my questions, and being so helpful. Well, I have another one that I have began doing but then I thought I better make sure it is allowed on redbubble.When I put a quote t shirt on redbubble, there is the backpack, dofel bag, leggings, etc. that I disconnect. I thought why let the listings go to waste. So I started putting the fabric designs on the extra ones instead of leaving them blank. On the fabric listings that don't look good on the first t shirts on a lising, rather than disconnect them, I put like a flower or something on there. And on the title, I put the first designs description, and for the second I just put 2nd design and a short description. I am not going to do anymore like that until I get a heads up from you or redbubble.

Sorry I'm not sure what you are asking - are you saying you are changing the individual images inside of the upload page? That is generally OK (that is why it is there) - I typically upload a different sticker image (as a high-res JPEG) and the rest are PNG files so the customer can pick their own shirt color.

@@zenwatercooler I think thats what I mean. I am adding a completely different design on. Lets say I have a fruitarian design. It looks good on the t shirts but not on the backpacks, etc. So instead of disabling them, I want to put a design that is like material, that has its own listing, but it will look good on the back pack. Will they get mad if I put something on that, that has its own listing, or would I have to make a completely different pattern? You said you do different for a sticker, but do you do a completely different design that has nothing to do with the rest of the items on the listing? For example, lets say I have a listing that is all frogs, but the sticker is a fruit.

@@zenwatercooler I instant messaged redbubble support on facebook, and they said I cannot put a different design on because it will confuse the customer. What a disappointment.

Hey Zen!! Great video. Just had 2 questions from one of your previous videos about starting out on Teepublic for complete beginners.If you could kindly answer. 1) Do I NEED to fill in my payment details as soon as I make an account? If I don’t do that then will I not be able to start uploading designs and make money at all and reach visibility? (I’m very new to POD) 2) While signing up for a new account you need to give your county’s name. So will I only be able to make sales in THAT PARTICULAR country, the county which I entered ?(Then I won’t be making sales because the people in my county don’t shop from these pod websites at all so that is a problem and I know for sure). These were the two questions that I had, found that Teepublic video just today and it was super helpful (this video was amazing as well) and saw that you actually replied to others and cleared their doubts so just wanted to try my luck because I have been asking a lot of people and no one responded. Well thank you and have a great day Zen!

Great insightful vid...Ok compliments over - I have a question How are you handling Redbubble''s announcement today that it's raising prices by 10%? Will you cover it in a video? Yes, I'm an ex-New Yorker, thus the "Elephant in the Room" abruptness...lol...😁

Hmm I hadn't thought about doing a video - basically my opinion is that everything goes up in price eventually and there's no action on the part of the designer - I mostly just focus on making the best possible designs and beating out competition to get sales. I will ponder the video though, I appreciate the suggestion!

The other problem is women shirts. The site that I use, when I'm uploading it. It's just the shirt. So it's not on a model yet. So sometimes it looks OK, other times it doesn't. Sometimes it looks OK on a men's shirt. But on a women's shirt it looks different, because of her, let's just say headlights. So on the men's it can be perfect. But the women's is a little high.

Thanks Zen ! I get the tip about making stickers without spaces, but it's not clear to me how to get rid of the spaces. For every design, will I need to create a separate version for stickers? Please explain step-by-step. If you can show how to do this in Canva, that would be awesome! 😀

Yes exactly I do two versions (one PNG and one JPG). I use the JPG for stickers and a couple of other products. That is a great idea for a video, let me see what I can whip up 👍

Zen are high school names and mascots copyrighted? I keep finding yes and then no. What is your take on it?
@zenwatercooler

That is a great question and I had the same experience - I find some resources saying YES it they COULD be trademarked. I guess each school board could legally trademark their name. However, I have read that actually enforcing the trademark legally in court would be next to impossible (since a public school is part of a government agency and thus public domain). So I personally think it is a great niche (and have done a few for my own schools for friends) and I don't think anyone cares. But it is technically possible that some school could be trademarked?

Have to disagree with you on the contour cut stickers. Of course your examples lend to your point. Those are bad designs in general. But contour cut stickers are far more popular. I go through a 24"x50yd roll of vinyl monthly, and 99% of my customers are ordering contour cut stickers.

Hey fair enough! I am a big fan of variant designs so even having either option can be good too. I appreciate it!
