@@2fmrc thats more just a twist as you're changing the weight distribution through the chassis. a better chassis wouldn't do that and better link and geometry would not do that... ascent is not known for having good weight balance and geometry. imagine a hard body, you're on at a gate with one wheel under weight, you turn the wheel and hard body tilts and down you go. test it on your 24s as well, see which ones do it and check the links and see if you find a pattern; this is an interesting topic would love to hear more

LoL. Yea bump steer is an affect which happens during compression of the shocks when going over 'bumps'. So the front axle must travel up and down to experience bump steer.

That is not checking bump steer, it is just setting end points.Bump steer is change of steering angle when axle goes through full stroke and articulation. It will bump steer and your end points will change and introduce servo overload unless you set end points at this point and accept reduced steering angle at some point in the flex.

Bump steer is caused by axle movement up and down causing the wheels to turn at full drop or full bump. If the chassis is moving when steering that means the servo is maxing out on the steering and causing the chassis to twist. Turn down the end points and fix it for sure.

If you go spektrum with spektrum batteries you don’t have to worry about the amps you charge etc. It’s pretty simple to keep track of though. If it’s a 1500mah pack I usually charge at 1.5amps, 2000mah pack charge at 2amps etc. You can go as low as you want it’ll just take longer to charge and you can actually go really high on amps to charge faster but it’s harder on your batteries over time etc. I think those wheels and tires will work fine. I haven’t been a huge fan of the silicone inserts on 1.9s to be honest. A good dual stage foam like proline or crawler innovations work better for me but the silicones are cheap and will work. The stock tires are pretty good but you can definitely get better once you’re ready to upgrade those as well. Jconcepts has some really good tires. Megalithic, ruptures etc. proline bfgoodrich Krawler ta are good also. The wheel offset will just widen the truck which may cut down on your turning a bit but should make it a bit more stable on side hill. Should work I would think.

You can also cram the xt60 connector into the spektrum ic3. I didn’t realize you could make them fit myself but someone else mentioned they used the two together all the time.
