I had back spasm and it was the worst pain I've ever been in. I was screaming in pain. I couldn't walk. Even lying down when the spasm started I had to stay perfectly still.

Thank you for posting! I am helping my daughter who just had a baby. I went to get the 4 day old from her and my back went into terrible spasms!! So, of course, I can't just stop doing things, but I am doing your exercises when I am on my back, and using your relaxing breathing and that seems to help so much. Thank you for the advice of NOT stressing which only makes my body tighten even more!! My husband, thank God, is holding the baby while mom and dad get some very needed sleep. I will be able to continue cooking and cleaning and am so grateful for especially your tip of the relaxing breathing-thank you!!!!

3 days ago, I coughed before leaving for work and I hurt my lower back pretty badly. I still went to work, I couldn't make it in the day after. It's a jolty, shooting pain. Even sitting down, standing up, sitting and standing hurts and I'm trying to be very careful of my posture. Thank you for these stretches and advice

i get spasms in my lower back into buttocks when walking the dogs, literally after 5 mins i feel like i cant walk any further , i think i need to do some exercises to strengthen my back , thank goodness for these you tube videos!

Suddenly got a severe back spasm while cleaning up crumbs of cookies my kids left, then laid my butt down in pain 😂 and began looking for videos to find some type of help! Hahaha you began the video laying on your back 🤣🤣🤣🤣 exactly what I’m doing right now!!

Very good video and excellent progressions. Breathing is key. I would suggest to start with a crocodile breath as the first breathing position.

This was really helpful. I generally get these spasms but i take care of my posture a lot so recently i have not got them but last two weeks i hv done a lot of seating which ofcourse gave me the spasm that i havd today. This thing helped a lot. I will continue doing this. But can you tell exercises to strengthen my back. Thanks

Every few months I have back pain to the extent that I can not stand up. I crawl on the floor. Osteopath told me the reason my abdomin muscles are weak is cos I had 3 abdomin surgery. My front muscles don't work. My back muscles work double. They take all the strain. He told me to strengthen my core muscles

Great video I can see how diaphragmatic breathing during these stabilizing exercises will signal to the central nervous system to calm down the area in pain as well. I think. I'm not a medical professional.

You said that the small muscles in the back being weak causes this... how do we strengthen these muscles? I’ve got a few herniated discs and a shit load of back issues. Around once a month I get a bad spasm that I usually tackle with Percocet and cyclobenzaprine and go to bed and wake up and it’s gone but sometimes the drugs don’t reset it. Anyways I want to fix the source, it’s been 5 years and my youth has been completely robbed from me

Really sorry for this ...Went for a walk this morning and since then been having these throbbing pains that come and go on my lower left back i took a Tylenol an hr ago and gonna see if that helps... i started doing the workout insanity last monday as well as still doing my weights daily and daily walks ....does sound to you like its a good possiblity of it being a pulled muscle from workouts?

No pain just spasms. When I lye it goes away when I stand it comes back and goes away in 30 seconds then comes back in 5 to 10 mins. Sometimes when it goes away some parts stay and a numbness lingers for a few mins. Help

I always feels most painful after i woke up or when Im swimming after i go into horizontal position i tend to feel extreme pain similar to cramps but on my lower back is there any cause or solution to this? It would help my mobility a lot more ( I have an AS and scoliosis)
