This is some great footage & very interesting to me as a Welshman. My Dad’s cousin who was called Eiros used to spar with Tommy.

Tommy 'Bach' Farr was taken under the wing of Leslie T.Salts in the early 1950's. Salts was a businessman who lived at and ran Gwrych Castle, whilst there he made the castle a thriving hub for Boxing, training boxers such as Bruce Woodcock and Randolph 'Randy' Turpin, according to one witness who went there as a child, she remembers Farr riding on the miniature train around the castle with her and others in 1953.

Gotta be said the funniest part of his life in boxing must of been when he told Joe Louis the scars on his back was from fighting tigers in the circus would of loved to see Louis face 😄
