Have you been able to walk through the entire property yet, or is there too much overgrowth for that? Maybe you will find the cistern somewhere out there! Thanks for the recap of some of your memorable moments. Have you had enough rain to see if the trough between the two buildings does indeed carry water out? What a project! Have you figured out the heating yet? I hope you are warm enough now that it is January.

as an energy engineer, I was amused by the electrical panel, especially the old input, the marble panel and the circuit breakers, both have the possibility of sealing. it looks like the 50s, but it's not accurate) is it a voltmeter to the right? but the main thing that I saw is already in the new shield that the PE wires are wound together and not connected (this is not safe, I think you understand what I mean;)

Solid roof. Safe and functional electrics. Plumbing EVERYWHERE it is needed. Heating and HVAC - if you go that route. Now you can renovate. Perhaps you ought to get a dumpster and clean everything out. All that vegetation close to the Villa is going to be a long-term problem. the house itself is absolutely beautiful and stunning.

This waste system made of double walls around villas goes back to the Roman period. This is why you can find that in Italy. Reinforcing is a good idea as the garden side of the walls are not as stable as the villa itself. Concrete which is another Roman invention would be a great idea for the 100+ coming years. Enjoy your new new year 😉

Hi there, and first off, welcome! I think you’re talking about our basement. This basement does have windows and I can imagine it’s a bit of an odd space since it’s half underground. The servants entrance leads directly to this space. However, when entering from the front door, you can take the stairs down to this basement. This is because the land slopes. There are windows because light does enter the air gap that is around the basement, which serves to keep the moisture out. Sorry just watched the indicated times, that is the air shaft around the basement. It serves to keep the place dry as mentioned before
