I found a solution. I have 3 PoE Reolink cameras wired to an NVR. I was having this issue before where I could connect to the NVR when I was on my own WiFi but couldn’t connect when I was away from home. What I did, I logged into my router (I have the ASUS RT-AX82U), I went into my network map and took a photo of my WAN IP, DNS, gateway and all other info. I then went into my WAN settings and changed it from Automatic IP to static IP. Then I typed in those numbers from the photo I took on the previous page. I also enabled UPNP in my router WAN settings. Then hit APPLY. I then logged into my Reolink NVR, hit on the Settings button for the NVR, went into NETWORK, then clicked ADVANCED. Enable UPnP, Enable UID and Enable DDNS. This fixed the issue for me. I’m even able to view my NVR and cameras on cell phone signal when I’m away from home. I hope this helps someone cos this drove me insane.

@@FilthyMcNasty281 you have to log into your internet router and turn off any firewall that’s blocking your NVR to communicate with the internet and to allow you access it from out of the house. This stuff gave me a headache but if you follow my steps above, you’ll figure it out. It’s worth it.

Reolink is at best a joke. Mine does the same thing. They are a waste of money, pure and simple. Bought mine from amazon and there are now quite a few negative reviews but that vendor/product is no longer active. I believe they are now sold thru a different vendor but I could be wrong. If so, then I'm guessing that's so they can get away from the negative reviews.

Mine are mounted high to get a better view and so the solar panels can get enough sun to remain charged. For some reason, every once in a while, one of the cameras will hiccup and jump to another network. Once this happens, it will go offline and even if you try to redirect it to the correct network, the issue is not resolved unless I get someone to climb on a 22' ladder to take it down, stick the pin in it and reset it. Like many others have said, customer services acts like they are trying to locate the camera from whereever they are and reset it but always comes back with the same stupid answer that they cannot connect to the camera. Customer service is a failure. Had I known these cameras had these problems, I would not have invested in them. I had no other choice but to mount mine high because they were not getting enough sun and I need them to get more of a aerial view. It costs me to get someone to get on the ladder to take them down and put back up when they go off course. The app is crappy. The online instructions make no sense and never seem to apply to my battery-operated cameras. They really need to create a workaround for camera owners to resolve these problems without having to physically touch the camera.

I have a couple of these. They worked great. However, every time you turn one off to move it or bring it in for a recharge (even with the solar panel if they don't get enough sun eventually you'll need to charge it) it a major pain in the ass to get it to reconnect. I don't know if it's the sim card or these cameras or what but it's really FN frustrating. Anybody know of a better cellular security camera with pan and tilt capabilities?

Same / similar problem after it worked for months, same network & all , one camera stopped. Tried resetting network, disconnect, reconnect - now will not connect; very frustrating and REOLINK has no support that I can find. Reolink support page is loaded with (waste of time) links but nothing that applies to my camera problem. Wish they had some sort of phone support. I would buy more cameras if they did work and did have support for when there is problems.

Don’t waste your time with this product. I spent almost an hour, trying to get it to connect to my router and it wouldn’t. It was sitting right next to the router and still wouldn’t connect to it. On top of that it took multiple tries for the camera to recognize the QR code on my phone.

In order to solve this issue you have to do one of two things if you're using wireless camera not the POE or the NVR you may have to unplug your router wait 5 minutes then plug it back in or unplug your camera wait 5 minutes then plug it back in.

Every dam time!!! I have 2 reolink cameras. One is the eye that moves, the other, argus 3, both have solar pannels. Argus 3 just bit the dust. No battery replacement option. So, it's just TRASH! Pisses me off because they were VERY expensive for my budget and I researched these before buying. I watched MULTIPLE KZitem reviews, all were great. Reality- Anything BUT great!!! My BIGGEST problem, when I leave, they WILL NOT CONNECT! What is the damn point of a SECURITY camera if you can't view when your gone?? I've shut the wifi off on my phone, I've restarted my phone, NOTHING works for this problem!! It's not my wifi, I have EXELLENT WI-FI 💙 The cameras also don't pick up me pulling in my driveway... pick up passing cars like a ghost, randomly there, then gone. I just can't say enough bad stuff about these cameras!

This is BS. Same random issues that get you questioning your own sanity. Got two cameras working on a Huwai router and then try it on exactly the same brand and model on some one else's and they won't connect to wifi, only through the UTP cable. Also when connected to the first router occasionally one won't be recognized randomly and also takes a random number of minutes to finally connect. Very slow. Sometimes its pot luck when transferring to outside 4G connection. Annoying beyond belief.
