For best results use adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing with an initial (i.e. pre-shrink) diameter of .25 inches, and a 3:1 shrink ratio. I used simple non-adhesive tubing and whilst it worked, after not too long the tubing is not sticking to the paracord so it slides up and down and it feels less meaty. Going to swap them out soon.

I used a lighter to re shrink the tube on one of my zippers on my 32l kit bag, it worked because i did it very light and tried not to burn it but the heat gun probably works a lot more efficient and I’ve got one so it’s perfect!

1/4 '' heat shrink tube and 550 Paracord ( I guess ). I haven't seen zipper pull kits at grouch site for quite some time now.

I used 1/4" heat shrink adhesive tube and it looks identical to the one on my Rucker. They also sell the zipper pull kits on the Goruck site. Also, be sure to follow her advice about not using a lighter. I did it the first time and everything was crooked and melted together.
