@@Anon.5216 Hi, The Anglican church is an Antichrist system, that, I'm afraid does not & has never has had ministers of the gospel. One needs to line up the churches doctrines, especially its hierarchy with the new testament. It doesn't even come close, but a system that originates from Babylon via Rome! The new testament does not contain any teachings to establish the above. First of all, the apostles are dead, who only ones given the authority to select elders, no one else was given that privilege. That does not happen now. What we see is now is without authorization from God. The Anglican Church is false, as it believes in apostolic succession, like Rome. The apostles are dead, and the new testament foundation has been laid.

As a non-believer this is very attractive to me. I never understood having been forced to grow up going to many different denominations and seeing all the hypocrisy that is taught on stage but is explicitly contradicted in the Bible is one of the big reason I walked away from faith as a whole. As a former medic in the army being disciplined, living by a set of moral principles, ethics, and the rest is the hard thing to do but that’s what really sets you free. I’ll be looking to talk to a priest here in the next couple days and exploring this more because although I’m not a person of faith I believe abortion is wrong, having sex outside of marriage is making young adults see the opposite sex as a sexually object, and so many other things that have been said I agree with. But every time I’ve gone to look deeper into I find the world affecting the church and not the church affecting in the world. If you want to get the non-believer on board keep this up because you got your hooks into at least me very deeply.

Luke I am a convert to Catholicism from atheism. I think it’s important to appreciate that the truth of the Gospel has acquired layers and layers of secular misunderstanding and deliberate antagonism that means it is very obscure to the average young person growing up in the West. What you THINK the Church teaches and who Jesus actually was can be highly distorted by a hostile culture that wants you to assume Christianity has died and is weak and pointless. Quite the opposite. The Power of God’s presence is overwhelming and humbling but in the West we have become so narcissistic and secular we are literally blind to the truth. Ignoring Christ explains why after a few generations of ignoring Him our most basic social mores and relationships are starting to fall apart (healthy heterosexual relationships, marriage, family, working toward a common good etc etc) and many people are entirely lost and treating each other like objects. We were living in the remains of the 1,500 years of Christian culture in Europe and the West and at first we lived off the remnants but now we are becoming unmoored from basic moral healthy foundations and it’s extremely toxic for everyone. It’s still perfectly possible to live a Christian life however and find hope, joy and love and be transformed through the friendship of Christ and other Christians.

@@Apriluser You said that on your OWN authority - there is no way it came from Christ. Our Lord did not found a group of individual Nationalistically minded Churches, Anglican/Episcopalian/Russian Orthodox etc... He is not an Anglican. He founded a Universal Church that He expects us to submit to. Nowhere in Scripture were the people of God permitted to be free-thinking libertarians. Those that sought to contradict God's Will, seeking to wrest power & authority from God's appointed Leaders eg Abraham, Moses, Joshua, The High Priest and now at last the Pope tended to fall apart at the seams and came to a bad end. The Lord keeps the same Methods, and if we obey His Gospel we will abide by Peter as His Chosen PM and Rock. He built His house upon the Rock (Kepha, Petros, Peter) He said not to build the house upon the sand as it would collapse in a heap due to it's faulty structure. Abide with Our Church, Obey the Lord. He is far wiser than us and requests we stamp down our pride and our unwillingness to submit to (sometimes unpleasant) authority. Authority that he has placed over us to bring us to Salvation. @@Apriluser With all due respect, I disagree, Anglicanism remains alone outside the Apostolic Catholic (or Universal) Priesthood with Priestly Apostolic succession. It is a Nationalistically ordered Community - Christ never intended His Church to be a group of Nationalistic entities. Even those with a full line of Apostolic succession, like the Orthodox. The Russian Orthodox and other validly ordained Priests have retained the original RC Priestly Rite of Ordination but remain RUSSIANS first and foremost and are consequentially placing love of their National identity above the Universal Kingdom of Christ and submit to the Laws governing their State with little or no respect for our Lord's Pope, His High Priest. That should never be done. Christ founded ONE Church, not a conglomerate of Nationalistic Institutions led by rapidly apostate secularist Politicians. One Flock, One Shepherd. One Worlwide, Catholic (meaning Universal) Church. I give respect where it is due, Rev Robinson is a phenomenal Anglican. Very, very Catholic in his training. That is apparent. In all he says and does he IS essentially as Our Lord defines, fully Roman Catholic, but he needs unswerving loyalty to His chief Shepherd first and foremost. Christ has always placed ONE man in charge of all overs. Moses, Joshua, then during the Temple Period, it was the High Priest. He has never been a Democracy, always essentially a Theocracy with Himself as King and Moses, Joshua, the High Priest and now Pope as His Governing Prime Minister. All Monarchs should submit to him. Not commonly known is this. Back in the days of King John in England, the King started seizing Church properties and placing his own Bishops, (who swore loyalty to Himself and not to the Pope) just like Henry VIII did later during the era of the C of E being formed. His popularity as King plummeted at home and abroad due to his conceit, wickedness, unruliness and contempt for the Sacred. An Anti-Christ with total lack of fidelity to the Holy Father. His people revolted against him. The only resolution that sorted out his dilemma was to sign an agreement with the Pope (I think it was Innocent III) that from that period forward no Monarch of the UK could be Crowned without full permission by the Pope. It was a mutually binding Legal Agreement that neither a Pope or a King could end, it could only ever be ended by a future King or Pope BOTH simultaneously agreeing on an end to the contract. To my knowledge that agreement has never been rescinded. I know that Pope Pius V excommunicated Elizabeth I for murdering many Catholics both Priests and Laity during the era of Persecution. It is known that as far as the earlier agreement between the Pope choosing the King of England, the Pope stated that the Stuart Kings, ie James II, James III Bonnie Prince Charlie (Charles III????) and Henry IX were still the lawful Monarchs of the UK. In fact according to an American Book, called "The Historical Sketch of the Second War Between the United States of America, and Great Britain: Events of 1814" the Stuart Line had not ended after Henry IX Cardinal York, a very interesting development if you see what is written here. books.google.co.uk/books?id=b013AAAAMAAJ&pg=PA43&dq=%22Stuarton%22&hl=en&newbks=1&newbks_redir=0&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiI6bfV6ub6AhWZaMAKHf8LAZcQ6AF6BAgMEAI#v=onepage&q=%22Stuarton%22&f=false ..... it is said here, that someone called Count Stuarton inherited the land of Henry IX in a will that seems to have sadly gone astray. archive.org/details/acivilandeccles00georgoog/page/469/mode/2up?q=Stuarton When the UK exiled them, Louis XIV offered them a Palace in France, after the death of King Louis, they held Court in Lodgings in Rome itself. It's a terrible history when you come to think about it. Catastrophic! True French history is just as catastrophic. Not much announced in the MSM, (therefore not generally known) is that there is in in all possibility, a literal direct descendant of Louis XVII, the Dauphin said to have died in the Temple during the French Revolution. It is said he did not die, though was buried in a Tomb with the inscription "Here lies Louis XVII" in Holland having spent a great deal of his life trying to regain his Throne. He spent some time living in the UK also, having suffered many assassination attempts, and finally exiled and forced to adopt the pseudonym Charles William Naundorf. His biography is available to be read in English as he was fluent in the Language. He wrote it himself! (see archive.org) Perhaps this presumed imposter was not an imposter at all? It is possible since one of his direct descendants by the name of Hugues Charles Guy de Bourbon, had his DNA sample matched with a sample of Queen Marie Antoinette's blood (known to be a true sample on a cloth) and Science stated back in 2014 that Naundorfs descendant is related to Marie Antoinette. His DNA sample should not be necessary since Naundorf's direct descendant is very similar to King Louis XVI in appearance. www.linkedin.com/pulse/louis-xvii-france-did-die-1795-his-descendants-live-markeaton-mundy www.lefigaro.fr/actualite-france/2014/03/28/01016-20140328ARTFIG00370-l-enigme-de-louis-xvii-relancee-par-l-adn.php History is rewritten all the time, and people like Count Stuarton, and Naundorff get exiled . @@Charliechorizo Every Catholic and Anglican needs to findtime to study the Traditions of our Church. For instance, many men wishing to marry, choose to be ordained as Anglicans or Orthodox rather than submit to the Celibacy requirement of the RC Priesthood Yet, they should all read Exodus 19:15 🙂The Lord has told Moses to bring the Children of Israel into His Presence when 3 days have passed. In preparation for the event, Moses says that prior to standing in the Lord's Presence they must ALL be apart from their wives and "“ Abstain from sexual relations.” That is perhaps, why Catholic Priests are required to be celibate. Since they are Ministering in the Presence of Our Lord every single day, which Priests, back in the days of the Old Covenant Levitical Priesthood were not. The Old Testament Priesthood Ministered in the presence of the Lord by Rota. There were thousands of Priests and each Priest therefore served for just a few weeks rarely! During that time they lived apart from their wives and lived in Priests Lodgings in the Temple itself. (as can be seen with Zachariah in the NT, He is living apart from his wife at the Temple when St Gabriel appears to him, no doubt obeying the period of sexual abstinence law as written down by Moses in the Book of Exodus 19.) The need for Priestly Celibacy as a permanent requirement (for 2000 years is because they stand in the Lord's Presence every day. Exodus 19 states that is not allowed for any of us who are sexually active. Perhaps there are those Married Priests who sleep apart from their wives after they have come into full Communion with Rome? The Lord is aware and other than evangelising and making people aware that they are inadvertently trivialising Celibacy, there is nothing else we can do but pray! Every Catholic should also, (according to Exodus 19) be celibate for 3 days before attending Mass. TBH it is frankly SCARY what Biblical Laws, trusted people like Luther, Henry VIII and Elizabeth I considered (in pride) immaterial, as they did not respect the RC Church's Historical Teachings and did not value Apostolic Succession. The Lord's Priesthood has ALWAYS been "Sacrificial" where Priests are considered incorrectly Ordained if they are not Ordained to offer Sacrifices. The Blood of our Lord (The Lamb of God) is purely the summation of the Old Testament ritual of our sins being placed upon a Lamb which was then slaughtered in our stead, in order for us to be made once more worthy in the eyes of God to be forgiven our sins. That Daily Sacrifice was continual during the days of the Old Priesthood, and it remains continual in RC Churches today! Nothing changes, nothing alters as Our Lord changes not one jot or iota of the Law. It is simply that He is now the only acceptable Sin offering. The Lamb of God, the spotless, perfect Sacrifice.

I first became interested in Catholicism when I started watching Michael Knowles' podcast, and when he came on this show, I became intrigued by the discussions. @@NotablySped there's a book which is a tome, The Resurrection of the Son of God, written by NT Wright which may be something you would be interested in. It starts out looking what is the historical context around the resurrection, as in what the pagan cultural beliefs and the Jewish beliefs, and then proceeds to make the case that the resurrection of Jesus is a historical event that occurred. Not light reading but highly valuable to me personally

Great that you invited Calvin. He is such a needed voice in the battle for souls. I'm a Christian(Presbyterian) in Sydney who's so thankful to the Lord for how He is using Calvin Robinson and some others. Woke is thoroughly anti-Christian and anti-life: it must be opposed with all the body of Christ rising up to fight the good fight wearing the whole armour of God. I enjoyed hearing your testimonies. This was a warm and thoughtful conversation. Thank you both!

This was awesome. I am Anglican, but what is considered low Anglican. Previously I was in the Netherdutch reformed church, but walked away because of a change in theology. Christ is on the throne and the true church His bride will prevail.

I was pleased to hear the exchange about video games. As a high school chaplain, I developed a notion of the distinction between fantasy and imagination. Both engage the faculty of abstraction, one to escape reality, one to creatively engage reality to productive purpose. I believe gaming more often is the former rather than the later. The infatilising tendency of gaming upon the minds of men is an unspoken problem in modern society.

I want my life to be a worship to God. But if I spend hours and hours in a digital world, I'm not doing much worshipping... not doing anything constructive or really worthwhile with that time. I just put a timer on so I really stop after a certain time. Like that I don't lose time and myself in the game. For my son too, it's best if he has a time limit. He enjoys that time more, and does not pine to game the whole day. (The switch even has this nice parental guidance app, so an alarm goes off and he knows time is up.) But one really has to keep an eye on gaming. It's easy to slip into escapeism

I struggled with gender confsion growing up, and still do to an extent. it ius necesary to understand that these feelings, and the actions associated with them, are not you. you are the thing that chooses. and love isn't about appriciating someones actions, it is about looking at the person, and deeply wanting them to be happy. so those who encouraged me to indulge in my vices, they weren't being loving truly. some of them were just misguided, but most just wanted to feel better about themselves, not for me to really be happy.
