On a sunny Saturday in early May, we went to go check out the new Sunrail Sanford station. We went in hopes of catching Amtrak 52, the Auto Train. at 5:40PM, over an hour and a half after it was supposed to leave, it came lumbering out of the Sanford Terminal about half a mile down the tracks. I find it funny how Sunrail has put crossing gates on the semi-abandoned yard lead, yet there are no gates on the station platform, which sees about 40 trains a day.

The next few days we went to the Maitland Sunrail to see the 2:18 northbound and Amtrak P098. On May 23rd and the 25th, we saw three trains.

Amtrak 98 was so close to P319's tail they had to stop and wait for 10 minutes, clogging up Maitland traffic. The engineer was really cool, honking at us all the way through the platform and waving.
