The photo you presented to demonstrate is a posterior view Dextrorotory (Lumbar) & Levorotatory (Thoracic), yet you are discussing the reverse of that. Could you please help to clarify my confusion? Thank you & I really enjoy your videos

I’m also confused by this video. My understanding is that a “Reverse S Curve” looks like a backwards S when viewed from behind (looking at someone’s back). But this video is showing exercises for a standard S curve? And when you mention “apex”, does that mean the concave or convex portion of the curve? I do believe that these details are super important when discussing exercises for scoliosis yet often they are not clearly defined. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise.

The image you showed is not a reverse s curve, it’s just an S curve. Also it would’ve been helpful if you stated the sides of your curves more frequently throughout the video.

Yes, your curve is very mild and the milder the curve is the easier it is to reduce.

Thanks for this. I have a reverse S scoliosis, but the upper right thoracic side shoulder scapula is rotated forwarded, not back as described in your video. Does that mean that I do everything as you described except to do the rotation movements/stretch more as a backward rotation of the thoracic spine and right arm?

So Im 25 and typically a very active person that's working out 5 days a week at a gym. I have reverse c curve of 19 degress inbetween my shoulder blades but never had any issues beforehand whatsoever. I had become inactive about 2 years ago due to some other life stressors and that accelerated all of these issues. A year prior to that i had a whiplash type injury and have weaker muscles on the left side of my neck and a weaker left leg. A neurosurgeon said i was born with the scoliosis yet it was never caught throughout my teen or childhood years. Im not really sure if this was all caused by that injury or if it is congenital.

Yes, do it both sides and you'll get a good lower back stretch
