Nice revue Christian very interesting and informative sometime people don’t appreciate how skilful it is to give an unscripted commentary that flows so smoothly as this one dose, it’s a gift.

How can you do a review of a motorcycle with google glass and not take it for a ride!?!?

Unfortunately Glass doesn't fit with my helmet, so I'd be risking my life to do so. Though I've given it much more consideration than I probably should.

gorgeous bike and nice review. I'm looking for video reviews on the '13 models because I'm in the process of buying a 2013 r1200GS Rallye edition. With only 22k miles I feel like the bike is basically in near new condition. Thumbs up on this vid!

this is an excellent video animation that demonstrates the pro's and cons of what abs is capable of in a car. Cars have four contact zones therefore exaggerating the deficient of abs in some situations.ABS vs. No ABS

This was a very thorough walk around, and I appreciate you explaining the accessories and much of your decision-making process with us. I have to agree with the shaft drive (I have a '14 GS on order now). Would you mind posting links to the accessories? I'm especially interested in the windscreen. Looks very nice for long hauls.

Nice review. Thanks for taking the time to post. How much better is your after market windscreen? I've heard the stock windscreen works quite well.

Nice video. I really like the Google Glass perspective and the tasteful way you've accessorized your bike. Having owned a number of GPS over the years I do feel the Garmin is much better than the competition and being designed for the bike it is more rugged and waterproof than a smartphone alternative; it also makes bespoke planning of touring routes on the computer simple and as you know can be bought for half the price you paid if you're willing to forego a BMW logo for a Garmin one. Cheers.

I bought the R1150GS when it first came out, which, if memory serves, was about 2000. I really enjoyed that bike, but after a couple of years switched to an R1150RT, which, for me, was even better. Loved that boxer engine. Quite a bit has changed since then, but probably not the essential riding experience. There is one thing that puzzles me: somehow, I'd expect the owner of a 1200GS to use a HHKB keyboard, but I didn't notice that in your stable (the Realforce, yes).

My friend you should really watch this video on abs vs. non abs stopping distances. This being said, abs when used in wet conditions, will prevent front wheel lock and possible crash. Non abs bikes in the hands of experienced riders, even in wet conditions will stop faster than abs equipped bikes. I'm not bashing abs, just presenting the facts.Proper Braking Compared to Using ABS to Stop the Motorcycle

The stock windscreen is fine, but if you're going to do a lot of touring (which I hope to), you might want something taller. I'm a tall rider, and I found the stock windscreen didn't give me enough protection for hours of riding at 70 mph.

Nice review. I own a 2012 Concours 14 and tried to make the bike comfortable. I'm focusing on the adventure style and narrowed it to the GS and Multistrada. How is the GS on the highway, wondering if I should stay in the ST class and look at the RT. I like the seating position of the adventure.

Dear Christain, I found your comments on the 2013 GS very useful as I'm thinking seriously of purchasing a 2014 model. It is much the same as the 2013 GS although it has a few more standard features and a steering damper. I decided not to purchase the BMW GPS system and instead buy my own. Would you suggest the Garmin Zumo 660 or the Tom Tom? Also I intend to purchase Givi luggage (Trekker Outback) because I like the design. Any advice here would be helpful. If you have the time your thoughts about the performance and reliability of the 2013 GS would be most appreciated. I know that you have had the bike for quite some time now so your feedback would be highly valuable. I will also order the engine crash bars and headlight guard.

I just purchased a 2014 R 1200 GS and am looking at replacement windshields. Are you pleased with the Calsci shield and what size did you go with? Also, Calsci has a size chart based on height and inseam, did this coincide with the size screen you chose? Thanks.
