Our family car when I was kid was the predecessor, the 280C estate! I remember my dad going to view a 300C estate in the early 90’s, but his haggling skills let him down and we missed out😂 I used to see a couple of silver estate versions around with similar number plates, B646JGY and B655JGY☺️

I do remember this car the 300 C, Back in 1988-89, my mate's were working on one a black 1984 (B reg) it was a fine car ,but the owner of the 300 wanted the automatic out and fit a 5-speed manual ,the owner at the time loved the car but did not like automatic and he did not want an estate. The gear box came from a written off 300 ZX same transmission layout and engine.the owner of the 300 C he had the car from 1988 to 2000 till he stopped driving at the age of 84 . It was a local car to Wrexham the last I heard it was sold to someone in England Great video i have a fond memories of the 300C belonging to this old gentleman Thanks for the video👍

As if the Laurel wasn't big enough! I like the wheel trims on the estate model - an interesting alternative to a Volvo 240 or 700 series estate. Both the 300C and the Laurel seemed to have been phased out and both replaced by the 1989 Maxima 3.0 V6. Now that was a lovely looking car. 😎 I used to see a black 300C estate often parked outside of a house in the 1990s. I think it was a C or D reg so circa 1986.

Nice brochure, this Nissan was known here in Finland as Nissan Cedric, and was sometimes seen as a taxi car (Sedan), with diesel engine. Not sure if the Wagon was even available here, doesn't look familiar at all.

Thank you and yes I don’t think most people in the 80s associated Nissan and luxury.

Nice brochure. The 300C was definitely worthy of consideration for some years after the Toyota Crown was phased out. Are you doing the Patrol next? It would make a great comparison with the Land Cruiser brochure you did a while back.

You mentioned the unusual Z badge on the wheel. Ummm... could it be an N badge on its side? N for Nissan . I love all Japanese cars from the 1980s and 70s. Great video, thank you.

Possibly I was thinking it was more the the Z like they put on the ZX sport cars.

It´s an N. Some models had that. Back in the day there were also Datsun and Nissan models.

I was privileged to have the use of my bosses saloon in July 1986. Wonderful car. I was late to pick him up at Gatwick, and remember seeing 130 on the speedo, the car wafted along, that 4 speed auto was excellent, everything was so much better than a colleagues Ford Granada. I'm out in Thailand at the moment and always keep my eye out for a Cedric which was imported here.
