Odd that they went 1'' but otherwise solid optic at a solid price

Probably to make it more affordable would be my guess. It also makes it lighter. I prefer a 1"tube with great glass over a 30mm with mediocre glass at the same price point.

From my understanding they went with the "1 over 30 Mil because they had no need to increase the internal adjustment range, the turrets are not designed to dial for elevation. Going with "1 allowed Trijicon to keep the weight and size of the scope to a minimum, so, increasing tube diameter to 30mm really made no sense.

I actually ordered on of these for my m1a dmr/spr build. I wondered how durable it would be (I know I shouldn't be concerned due to it being trijicon) when you dropped it from 2nd floor and it was fine it made me even more excited for scope! Keep up the awesome work brotha !

i just ordered the 3-9x40 accupower. our rifles are set up pretty similar. im running the str stock, 16in barrel with possibility for suppressor but bcm kmr rail. im just gonna have to get a better mount eventually. i went for the primary arms extended mount for now but i always want to run a rear sight...even if i have to switch to a magpul pro. eventually i want a qd mount for the scope but i also have a pistol build with an aimpoint pro to compliment this setup to also run suppressed and the magpul ms3 or whatever sling setup. pretty sure ill be happy with the setup and the pair i have will make a great complimenting system. basically i will upgrade my scope mount when funds allow. not sure if i will keep the str stock. the stock and mount is what i will adjust. i always prefer a fixed stock because its the same every time but i do appreciate adjustability...but i hate wobble so yeah...mft, i have one of those also on my colt 6920 and sba3 now but i have a shockwave blade for my pistol. arent options beautiful?

Pretty cool how technology has caught up since this video with the razor 1x10.... Do you still find the 3x9 a relevant optic. And is there enough room to mount an offset dot and see past the knob?.... Any experience with the trijicon credo 2.5x15x42 ?

i personally feel 3x on the bottom is pretty good for CQB as close as 15 yds but i would not want to have to clear a house or other structure with it. nothing beats a good 1-8x imo. or a 1-6x. i feel.as well equipped as i possibly can be with my Primary Arms 1-8x ACSS SFP and platinum 1-8x ACSS FFP scopes for CQB, run 'n gun style typical engagement distances of 20 yds to 300 yds and also have excellent med/long range capability out to 800 yds and beyond all simultaneously. i just cant imagine a more capable sighting/ranging optic for typical tactical/combat type engagements. i can make do with a 3-9x but i just dont see the point. a 1-8x gives a much greater advantage on the bottom and im only giving up 1x on top which is nothing. imo the latest 1-6x and 1-8x optics have rendered the typical 3-9x and 2-10x optics obsolete. to each his own though. if it works for you, run it and dont worry about what who says about it. i will say to anyone in the market for such an optic, it will behoove you to check out a good 1-8x before buying anything.

I have a credo 1x6 and am returning it. This 3x9 is 5.5 oz lighter, tritium, more magnification, I can add an RMR on a 45 and still be lighter than my Credo 1x6

Zoom ratios and exit pupil make the high-power LPVOs more of a curiosity than a viable combat optic. Medium-power optics like this do some things quite a bit better than a 1-8x or 1-10x.

Aaron, love the channel!!! Okay I just filed RMA at optics planet to return my trijicon 1x6 credo. I just wasnt sold on it. Had clarity issues, 1x was not true 1x therefore hard to use both eyes open and 18.9oz. This TR20 is only 13.4oz! I was most likely adding a 45 degree RDS so this seems to make more sense. Lighter, tritium, cheaper, 9x mag over 6x. Optics are for a Aero M5 setup as battle rifle. 16” barrel, bare rifle 7lb 9oz, CGS Hyperion K can, CD reign 2.0 WL. Input grately appreciated. Again love the channel

There are lots of optics available with wider magnification, starting as low, or lower than 3x. For example. Leupold has a VX-6 which is 2x-12x, MeOpta R2 is 1.7x - 10x; Minox ZE5 2x-10x or 3x-15x - I am looking here at your entry level cost you mentioned, but individually that Is based largely on skill and budget. If you go a little higher - ones I use frequently - you get into Swarovski Z6i in either 2.5 - 15x or 3-18x in 30mm tube. Both of these likewise have illuminated reticles and are 1st focal plane which is far superior to 2nd focal plane if you really change magnification while engaging the same target. But for the SAME price point, also look at the Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x scope - either the Trijicon or the Vortex, at their pricing - are hard to beat.Nice review - love the drop-off-the-balcony test. Well done.
