This person understands the humor of smiling friends. Starting off as a simple review, she then sidelines us with an insane tale of a 50 person biker gang right behind her car. Another video she mentioned that she was stalked by a person at her former workplace for every single day she worked there. From what I've heard alot, Japan tends to be a country of politeness or one that encourages that. So people usually use work arounds when they wanna sound rude but don't wanna make it explicit. Remember a story of a store in Kyoto where if the clerk felt you were engaging in needles conversation, they'd euphemistically say "that's a nice watch you're wearing", as an allusion that you were wasting their time.
@kenjutsukata1o1
3 ай бұрын
Some more prime examples of Japanese polite workarounds to saying what they're really thinking: In Japan, if you try to book a hotel room and the person at the front desk hems and haws and makes a show of trying to find you a room while saying things such as "it's difficult", it means they're booked to capacity but don't want to straight out tell you to go away. Unfortunately for the Japanese most foreigners aren't privy to such practices and so they'll just wait patiently while the worker tries their best to get them to understand they should seek a room elsewhere. One that's right here on YT is a video where a Japanese swordsmanship expert was shown some videos of a video game (I think it was Ghost of Tsushima) to judge the swordsmanship. There were some moves where he would say something along the lines of, "oh, that would be very difficult to do," and people in the comments were all excited because they interpreted that as meaning the moves were in fact possible to pull off. And if an American had said it that would have been the case, but 'that move would be very difficult to do," is Japanese for "that move is bullshit,' lol.

He was also the face of Subways charity to "combat childhood obesity" and would often make appearances at schools and hospitals. There are claims he later attempted to contact and groom kids using these events. So he was an active predator, not just a creep.

these reviews are so funny, yet calming because of your voice. i also think Mr. Boss as a dog is kind of cute too lol

I really liked Glep in the Jared Fogle costume. The tiny head on a normal body made me laugh out loud 😂

oh man i hope someone subtitles this in japanese for Nonnon sensei because it is WAY funnier when you understand what they're saying. I've seen the full episode and it's my favorite!! Please keep teaching us!
