Does this work for default rhino materials? It seems like when I change the size as what you did it didnt show in my viewport. or is this some settings thing?

The default material scaling behaviour has been changed for Rhino 6...all the materials are now tied to a fixed global scale. Don't know why, I've told McNeel that it's a bad idea.
