Midge Ure is kind of like John C. Riley's character "Dewey Cox." He has been in so many different diverse and influential groups in such a short period of time which are all so different. From this to Thin Lizzy, to Ultravox, to solo artist.

never could get into gen x and couldnt stand billy idol...7th grade everyone had a Rebel Yell shirt so i had to hate it. id wear my older brothers the Fall shirt and be "that guy"...turns out i was right all along.
Amazing energy and natural rock ‘n’ roll chemistry! Underrated band riding the new wave after the punk rock bands back then. Great times to be young. Post punk soon followed which is still relevant today. Soon came a mod revival and ska / two tone music………Such an amazing array of talent, fashion, attitude and experimental adventure! Today’s music scene (if there even is one) is bland and safe and unoriginal in comparison.

Yes, so glad that I was young in the 70's and 80's . So much great stirring music to dance to. I had hopes that the Britpop of the 90's would continue as that looked promising. Sadly as stated all is mostly bland more (and its not because i'm old and a bit deaf haha)

the theme track is a bit tougher than power pop (live, anyway) almost in league with the Boys. thanks to those rhino comps, rich kids wasnt released in us, tougher than the Clash at least live. better than a lot of less consistent bigger names. if you wanna hear great power pop that is semi-current...do check out Marked Men/Radioactivity, FM Knives, Cheap Time

this ain't "power pop" it's punk rock before the hardcore morons turned up and fucked it up.

Should have been a bigger and more acclaimed band. Shame that 1) their album's production was horribly muddy when it needed to be crisp and 2) "Ghosts" wan't the hit it deserved to be.
