I am loving these series Ive got a playthrough of my own which I'll put the idea of in the public domain as it were The hot headed Arabian knight Culture:aserai Loadout: same as the Faris, sword, shield, javelins, couched lance. Brother and family: mamluk Loadout i.e sword shield and bow Troops Aserai cavalry, 2/3 Faris 1/3 mamluk cavalry With maybe some imperial and Latin i.e vlandian knights My character, whom I named after the great M&B KZitemr simo.. is someone who embodies the knightly virtues of the middle east, he is hot headed, he will always seek a 1v1 with people of importance He respects the empire for being fellow cultures ( the byzantines and the abbasids of Baghdad respected each other greatly and shared knowledge ) If Simo fights a lord in single combat, trades blows, and they are taken down. he will release them as a sign of respect... He loves competing in tournaments.... He hires the brave and virtuous.. He respects the vlandian knights, uncouth they may be compared to himself or the empire.... But their lancers are powerful and brave. My favourite part of the play through is the vlandian companion ' romund the brave' He's a bastard son, who had to seek fortunes himself when his father could no longer support him after being captured and having to pay ransom... I had to pick him up... And if course he was equipped with the lance, sword, shield and javelins of the others,... But he is VLANDIAN, he doesn't have throwing skill, so I imagine that when he throws and misses... People just say "that's romund the brave, romund the " can't hit anything, but he's trying" Some companions have great throwing but can't ride for anything.. And it feels like that DnD party vibe.. where each companion has their own shape and feel to them...

"the long glaive and this build sucks in a seige" Counterpoint. Regular glaive. Or, worse.. you smith a long glaive blade with a quite short handle so you just have this monstrously fast but hard hitting blade. And, really... The nomads.. LOVED. Their maces... So, mace and shield... Go nuts.

I think the regular glaive is better on mount too. It's faster, and it doesn't matter if you do 150 o 300 damage, both dudes die anyway.

@@gustavotriqui I like the long glaive for the reach, helps you out range other lances and stay well out of other polearm range

I understand that there are horse archers and then there are peasants, but... Have you ever worked in some lancers as a counter heavy cav to slow them up and use as a kite-able arrow magnet ? Just wondering if a group of 20 or so is worth it?

there’s no real reason to use any other troop in the tree when they’re so versatile Need archers? Dismount or hold them in a static position Need shock infantry? Dismount hold fire Need Melee Cav? hold fire not even a need for shield infantry when you just out maneuver and glaive charge any archers to death
