As a native to Kansas, the cinnamon roll and chili combo was one of the most anticipated lunch menu items here in my hometown! We had it quite regularly throughout middle school and highschool and you could always tell when there was a new (non-midwestern) kid in class on that day because of the utter look of confusion and disgust on their face! But, most of them came around to trying it out. Thanks for visiting the state, wish you could have seen the Bartlett Arboretum here in Belle Plaine on your way through!

Awesome! The Wizard of Oz Museum looks so fun to visit. I watch the movie a couple of times a year...just to keep in touch with my childhood 😀 Not so sure about cinnamon roll and chili..you have definitely peaked my curiosity. What a fantastic campsite y'all found! I love the mill, so much history. The Coronado Castle...beautiful! The Salt mines have been added to my list...what a great tour. Looks like a great Old Cowtown Museum HH. Our favorite in Oklahoma, so far 😀, is the Wichita Mountains. We have been there twice already. Thanks for sharing all of your great stops!

I was born in Parsons, Kansas but raised in Wichita, Kansas. You did a great job showing off Kansas. Next time you are in Kansas definitely try to spend more time in Wichita. I love this city. Also, you seriously need to check out Crawford County, Kansas. Crawford County is in the far South East part of Kansas. It's known for the best Fried Chicken in the USA. There is Barto's Idle Hour Chicken House, Chicken Mary's, Chicken Annies Original, Chicken Annies Girard, Pichler's Chicken Annie's and Gebhardt's Chicken House. All of these places are awesome and famous. My favorite is Barto's Idle Hour Chicken House. Plus, the history of all the Coal Mines. May God bless you always! Bily Curless Wichita, Kansas, USA

I grew up in Kansas and the chili and cinnamon roll combo is always a topic of conversation for those not from the midwest! Ketchup on scrambled eggs is another one I find a lot of people have never had. What I really want to know is that chili recipe you all through together. It looked great and different from those typical to KS which usually have beans.

We dig the chili and cinnamon roll combo! But we’ll pass on ketchup on eggs 😂 The chili recipe is by Nom Nom Paleo nomnompaleo.com/2017052320170523instant-pot-ground-beef-chili We don’t do beans our chili…no way! ❌❌ put one bean in there and now you have a pot of beans! 😂

I've lived in Kansas since elementary school age. We always had chili, Cinnamon rolls, and carrots as a school lunch meal. As an adult, I still like having those 3 things together. I have never dipped my Cinnamon roll in the chili but I will definitely be trying that next time. Thanks. Great job showing off my state!

Fun to see so many places I have not been in KS, even though I've lived here for about 47 years. I appreciate that you called them bison and not buffalo (which live in Africa)!! I would like to mention that I've never seen anyone put their cinnamon roll in the chili. It's served as a side/dessert. However if you liked it, good for you. 😊

Yay A+K+K! I’m glad you had a good time in my home state! Come visit anytime! There is a Joe’s BBQ location across the street from where I work and I love to order a Zman for lunch. YUM! I need to visit that Wizard of Oz museum. It looked so fun. I loved the music you played during that segment (and through the video). When we visited the Tall grass prairie preserve we rounded a hill and as we reached the top there was a bison right on the trail! It was a little disconcerting knowing what to do! In the museum there was a jacket with the word wonder that looked like the Wonder Bread wrapper. I never seen this before. I enjoyed seeing the Salt Mine. Interesting they kept all the trash from those who use to work there. So very neat how you could enjoy seeing the past come to life in that little town. I liked Adam playing cards. When you can experience History - see the way it was, I think you tend to appreciate it more. That was well worth the price to see 40 buildings. I've enjoyed seeing Kansas. I liked the Keeper of the Prairie. The ceremony was a experience I'd like to see one day. You two are amazing! I've really enjoyed watching you both. Thank you!

Van lifer from Kansas here. Next time you're close to the southeast corner of Kansas check out Big Brutus. Lots to do in the Northeast quarter of the state too. The inside of the state capitol in Topeka is beautiful and lots to see inside. Lawrence is the coolest college town in the state. Lots of coffee shops, the original rules of basketball and a beautiful campus on a hill. Leavenworth is also worth checking out with a carousel museum (yes you get to ride one) and some other cool stuff. I found you guys' Alaska videos about a year ago when I was beginning my own plans to make the trek myself in my van. I leave in four weeks and I can't wait! Just rewatched some of those videos again. And now I've added the Atlantic Canadian Provinces to my list after seeing those. I had no idea that area was so beautiful!

Nice job guys! Great job covering much of what Kansas has to offer. One thing worth noting on the burnt ends - they were actually invented in Kansas City and are our signature BBQ dish. Burnt Ends started out at Arthur Bryant’s BBQ in the Jazz district (Missouri side of the metro - 18th and Vine neighborhood) where they were placed on a tray as free snacks for those waiting in line to buy their BBQ. They became so popular they eventually wound up on the menu and the rest is history! So, anytime you encounter burnt ends anywhere else in the US they are merely a copy-cat of the originals here in Kansas City! Cheers!!
