Roasted Leg of Lamb. The meat melts in your mouth
Apart from being traditionally grilled, lamb is extremely tasty even if it is prepared in the oven. Today we prepared a lamb leg weighing 2 kg together with potatoes and other vegetables. The result is truly phenomenal - the meat is soft and juicy and the potatoes and juice give a special taste to our baking.
We ironed the lamb for about 2.5 hours and we definitely recommend the recipe.
RECIPE:
✅ For baking in the oven, make a liquid marinade to make the meat juicier. And in our marinade we put: colorful pepper, olive and ordinary oil, rosemary, salt, mustard and sweet pepper. Mix everything well and coat our piece of lamb, which we will add a little more salt. Leave in the fridge until use, or overnight
✅ Preheat the oven to 200 ° C and cover the lamb with aluminum foil and bake it for a total of about 2.5 hours. We prick the aluminum foil a little with a knife or fork.
✅ While the lamb is roasting we will prepare the side dish. Cut the potatoes into larger pieces, add a little carrot and season everything together: oil, salt, vegeta and sweet pepper
✅ After 60 minutes in the oven it is time for the first check. The lamb already looks great and we will now add the vegetables
✅ After 90 minutes in the oven it is time for the second check. We will put some butter over the lamb. We also add 200 ml of water
✅ Occasionally take the lamb out of the oven and pour its own juice from the pan. Add the cherry tomatoes
✅ After 2 hours in the oven we will turn the meat, add a little more water and bake for about 30 minutes without foil over, so that the meat is nicely baked
And that's it, serve the meat and potatoes and pour the juice from the pan over everything. The lamb is juicy and tasty, to lick your fingers
