Very interesting stuff. I hope to see more of your future work. Using solid rocket fuel engines seems exceptionally challenging for this kind of stuff, as the thrust is so unpredictable. I can imagine that if you measure the actively applied thrust (perhaps with load cells) you could use a non-linear control system to handle it somewhat, although that might be severely constrained as well. Do you plan to compensate for it?
