I was there my dad took me to the Garden I was only 8 years old. I was in awe of Roy Jones Jr, it looked like he was made of steel. He was cruising for the majority of the fight, respect to Trinidad for showing heart and going down swinging. I remember the Puerto Ricans came out and showed him a lot of support, they were going back and forth with the black guys but everybody showed each other respect in the end. The atmosphere in the Garden was electric that night.

He has faced extremely tough contenders, and won. But one thing for certain: Tito fought valiantly amid Roy’s power. Roy Jones not only had the power; but is the most agile athlete / boxer. If he had Roy Mayweather Sr. as his defensive coach from the start, he would probably be undefeated in his entire career.

Much respect for Roy in this fight. He carried Tito and knocked him out cold. He could of easily done serious damage but you can see he cruised during second half of fight instead of letting his hands go.

There's tactics and there's strategy. You can see Jones has a 12 round strategy. He showboats on offense, getting under Tito's skin, is impenetrable on defense, drawing him in, and just times his punches after Tito's.. It's all part of experienced training and a winning strategy.

Roy coulda finished him in the 7th but held back and let him recover just so he can keep making Tito look bad, in return making himself look good against a solidified fighter to shut up the critics that say he never fought anyone. But truth is, Roy is the P4P GOAT and in his prime he made everyone look like they were amateurs. He fought a lot of undefeated guys on his rise, he was just that good that it made them look like they weren't shit.
@xDreMack

Most definitely. Roy is one of the few boxers who can be said never lost a round during his prime and did so while moving up in weight and taking belts from legit champions.
@Boxing4K

RJJ never fought Steve Collins, Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn or Joe Calzaghe or Gerald McClellend during his 'prime" All of those guys were long time world champions or at the very serious contenders. Funny how those matches never got made. RJJ was a protected fighter during his 'prime" He fought Calzaghe when he was old and Calzaghe was almost as old and Calzaghe had dodgy hands and RJJ got his arse kicked.
